that being said, I don't and wont ever feel sorry for these 2 guys.

I guess its like how I don't feel sorry for people who die from a drug overdose

I will just be happy when this stops becoming headline news.

No!!! Next you'll be saying they killed 200,000 plus during their occupation of East Timor......

Which is still less than the deaths that occur due to drug smuggling scum like those two idiots?

At least two innocent people died in Australia last night due to drug addictions, yet there is no who ha over there deaths yet all we hear about are two criminals. Hopefully their deaths were painfull and they suffered.

Hypocritical much???

Saying that dealers are responsible for drug addicts is like saying prostitutes are responsible for someone's sex addiction. Ridiculous.

So it's OK to say it was their choice to try and smuggle drugs, so deal with the consequences, but if someone chooses to take drugs it's the dealers fault.

It runs a little deeper than that. Indonesia actively negotiate to get their own citizens off the same punishment for similar crimes in other countries. Then criticise others who use the same tactics.

**** the **** - recall the ambassador, cut all ties with the country and pass laws that Australian citizens can't visit the country ever.

Maybe Tony had a point about the next time there is a natural disaster we won't help and see how they go.....

Crap, cant stop people going there!
We go regularly and are off there in 4 weeks time for holidays again. Actually looking at booking for an extra week now, with all the people saying they wont go there again prices should drop rapidly.

Well if people are so upset at their actions then why not pressure our government to change legislation to hit them where it hurts.

Couldn't care less what actually happened never had the desire to go to Indonesia ever.

That's the issue, the unjust, excessive and futile penalty.

A penalty that won't change if people remain silent.

Hypocritical much???

You are the master of your own destiny when choosing to use drugs. Not even comparable.

You are the master of your own detiney when you choose to smuggle Drugs - these two blokes got theit chosen destiny.

The stuff doesn't get peddled? Have a few cheap/free hits, now your hooked? Bingo, pay full tote odds..... Crime, mental health issues, family disputes, social isolation, dependancy on society

And the link between prostitution and drug addiction, in some cases???

My major point is, there is such a stink being kicked up over these two toe rags which drowns out the real humanitatrian crises/issues in Nepal, Baltimore and Nigeria from overnight in the media (social and commercial).

My other major point is, us criticising Indonesia, a sovereign neigbour nation, for their laws and judicial system smacks of the intellectual cultural cringe that our socienty is better than yours so you should follow our ways.

Hypocritical much as Australians???

Kevin Bloody Wilson's follow up post on Facebook said it even better last night, can't post it due to the filters!!!

Joko Widodo tonight you will kill two good men, my friends. I want you to know that you may take their freedom and their lives, you may rob their fellow inmates of the support and love that both men have offered for so long, you can turn off Myu’s imagination but you will never kill the memory of them. I have promised Myu and Andrew, their parents and their siblings, that I will fight against the death penalty for the rest of my life.
I can also assure you that Myu and Andrew will care for the other inmates you will execute tonight. The six men and one young woman from the Philippines, Ghana, Brazil and Nigeria will have two constant, calming and compassionate voices beside them right until the last second. Myuran will continue to translate your executioner’s words into English for Mary Jane Veloso and Andrew will calm and console. I know that before the sound of your guns the island will hear the comforting whisper of Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan.

Kevin Bloody Wilson's quote is better

Kevin Bloody Wilson wrote: People are asking for a minutes silence for these two scumbags. What about a minutes silence for their victims!
My thoughts?
"DILLIGAF"

I'm seriously amazed and staggered that educated people feel any compassion for these toe rags

if they weren't caught they'd still be trying to get away with it ruining more lives in this country and in others

Their contrition is only there because they have been caught

Utter Utter scum

You are seriously quoting Kevin "Bloody" Wilson??? Was Rodney Rude unavailable?

"Hang 'em, shoot 'em! Fu*k 'em!" they all say in response to Kevin Bloody Wilson and his thoughts on the issue and then resume listening to the songs of a bloke who's smoked lots of pot, sings about smoking pot and indulging in recreational spliffs and whatever else themselves. Now that's funny.

Interestingly, the drug policy is so well-policed in Indonesia that the only two members of the #Bali9 not addicted to drugs are now dead.
I've watched raw film of Scott Rush shooting up in prison. It is just harrowing.

Yup, I 'll conceed that poor choice of words. People are responsible for their own decisions to take up or smuggle drugs

However, at the end of the day people do make their own choices but I'll stick to the fact Drug smugglers are supplying the goods that kill people, which ruins lives and that suppliers use well honed marketing techniques to get people hooked which fuels the industry.

And I'll "maintain the rage" that the response to these two deaths is all out of proprtion to the real issues in this country right now and around the world.
