Don't recall getting any half volleys mate, so safe there! My back foot play is limited to cuts, pulls, hooks & hacks!

Cool, I'll come up for a cameo, I've had one hit for a 94 this season, quite happy to leave it at that for the comp 8)

Yep good form was the 94 red ink?. I don't miss the young blokes whizzing them around my ears. Talking to a bloke on the weekend there is an over 50's national champs at Easter in Orange NSW. SA are putting in a team, not sure where they are getting their players from. Over here in Vic there are several over 50's Vets comps/associations who play every second Sunday. The weekend games I played were inter association. They are selecting 4 Vic sides from this to include a Vic Metro & a Vic Country in both divisions. Its by nomination, haven't decided if I will nominate or not yet.

Na, got caught on the boundary LOL, got to bat with my 12 year old son and 14 year old daughter though so I'll take that over a ton, we got pummeled too, all out for 156.

Sounds like a good comp, I've got 7 years to go and doubt whether I can commit to each fortnight.

The regular Sunday stuff, most teams have a few players who go ok. More so batters than bowlers, but then the standard drops away. The inter assoc games were up a level better bowling & fielding, and the blokes batting 6/7 were still decent-ish. I have enjoyed playing again with the older guys, there no real sledging other than good natured stuff, pretty much.

What are you doing still playing against U/14's.
They allow one overage player these days ;)

Good work though playing with your kids.
Did you give them any strike or did you hog it?

Playing with your kids is pretty awesome. I managed to get a few games in with my youngest but I'm more cooked than Allistair. This season I've seen my oldest captain a senior side and my youngest knock up a 50. Great stuff.
