The only good to come out of this was that the brave bystander who disarmed one of the gunmen has been identified as Ahmed el Ahmed.

One thing that concerned me a bit last night when I became aware of this all, I can’t remember which news outlet it was, but a female reporter was assigned to the area and was interviewing people, she happened to be wearing a hijab.

Now normally, nothing wrong with that, she’s just someone going about her job … but in this case, probably not a great idea with what had just happened. I remember thinking how irresponsible it was to send her out there, potentially putting her at risk.

Crazy that the thought even entered my head.
