Have a beer in bed.

Ive been productive, refistered trip details on smart traveller, checked in with singapore, contacted my bank and phone companies.
So yeah, it could be time for a beer but might go to the pub, scammed another way to get cheaper than happy hour prices over the summer.

Anything goes in Thailand....

Was just thinking the same thing!

I could watch hours of footage of those things and be fascinated by interplay of personality types.

Would be more interesting than actually doing it, for sure.

As one would imagine, I am a slow thinker, I like to take my time, analyse, contemplate. Then work something out methodically.

Trial and error intermixed with hints makes morell a dull boy.

Missus *loved* it.

I know/knew a woman who was on Centrelink and receiving a disability carers pension for her son who was hearing impaired.. she got a housing trust house costing next to nothing, she was receiving more money than I was earning working full time (at that time), and she had a "private arrangement" with the kids father who was paying her $150 a week child support.

Add onto that she ran a little online business no one knew about, but she had no drive and she was happy playing up the "poor me" card.

Pissed me off.

Yep, seen it many a time, fair kick in the guts for a couple that work long hours and have to live on a tight budget.

I used to spend a lot of leisure time at Younghusband caravan park, I remember years ago there were two young chicks, both with a kid living there permanently and one of them asked the owner if he could allow her to skip a rent payment and fix it up a monthlater as it was almost Christmas and money was a little tight, the owner obliged.
The other chick then asked as was declined, the owner said "You can afford to smoke, you can afford to pay rent then", I thought it was a valuable lesson.

NBN. Had no internet for 2 days and have to wait until Friday for a tech to come out. Never had an issue before we swapped over.

Fibre To The Node for both of you I assume?

I made enquiries about getting the NBN just last week, 'coz apparently the old phone/ADSL lines in our area are getting cut in January. I think that Fibre To The Node is the only option for our premises. However as far as I can tell the nearest node is several blocks away, which does not bode well for speed. Add to that the enormous amount of bad press the NBN has received in recent weeks. I'm not looking forward to making the switch.

I've had zero problems. It's not 'quick' like I want but it's not bad either. Better than ADSL.

Mate of mine has had no end of problems and went with Uniti Wireless, who use a satellite to beam the internet to his house. They seem a little bit more expensive but are more reliable and are wireless. So it's really up to you what you do.

He had a contract with iinet and was able to ditch it because it wasn't providing a service that he was paying for. He's very happy with the Uniti service.
