I said to a former colleague who was a professional breeder "change is as good as maternity leave hey?" When she announced she looking for a new career. Mind you she had dislodged 4 kids in about 6-7 years and took 6-9 months off each time.

We had a manager who did similar but only had the 3 kids in pretty rapid succession and took maternity leave.
Management finally worked out how shit she was at her job when every single time her replacement well and truly outperformed her.
After she came back from the third maternity leave she was gradually “moved on” and ended up leaving

I thought he was going to flatten the GM and I had to ask the GM and Finance Director to leave the building for an hour.

They simply haven't thought this through and it's been an unmitigated disaster.
