Women, aye?

I know right, the wrestling was on TV as well.

Good is an acceptable and complete response to, how was your day IMO.

My response is usually a grunt, a sarcastic "good", or a "how do you think? i was at work" as i strip off while walking down the hallway

Then lay on the lounge in just footy shorts for the next 6 hours...

Im a catch ;)

I'd move onto the Bruno Bertalucci statements but these days that's straight out racism. The late 70s and early 80s were such a simple time.

Weeroona at Wallaroo

Gold

Good service, great meals. My wife had a steak (surf and turf), cooked perfectly. I had chilli prawns, daughter had garlic prawns, son had something off menu (bonus points), salt and pepper squid. 9/10. Vegies served were really good, not overcooked.

I love the joint!

Someone mentioned Beef cheeks earlier, they are easily the best cut of meat you will ever have and if you are ever anywhere where a pig on a spit is being cooked see if you can snaffle yourself some of the cheeks from the pig, absolutely to die for. Dont be put off by the inch of fat you have to cut off to get to the meat

This is my second attempt to review the Fox and Firkin at Tea Tree Gully.

First visit for lunch was April 2014 but that actually degenerated into a swim thru of various imported beers with no real memory of either the share platter we ordered to tide us over until we ordered lunch, or the cheeseboard which we ordered when we realized it was nearly tea time and we were all too full of piss to eat anyway.
Old Speckled Hen 14/10.

Went to the Gawler Arms for a Birthday last night, meals all come with a salad and dessert bar.
Ordered a 400g Porterhouse cooked medium with garlic sauce for $28.
Porterhouse came out well overcooked, have had beef jerky not as chewy as this steak. Came with about 5 burnt chips that tasted like they were cooked at lunch and a garlic sauce that was just a thick gluggy mix of flour and water without even a hint of garlic.
Main meal 2/10 as I didnt even eat two mouthfuls of it.
Salad bar was ok although a smallish selection, the chicken and vegetable soup was tasty, 6/10
Dessert was the only highlight of the night, real good assortment consisting of stewed peaches and nectarines, fruit pudding, apple crumble and my old favourite creamed rice. Soft serve icecream machine a bonus 7.5/10
Other meals at our table were not flash either, the herbed flathead was dry and like cardboard,, the calamari was like rubber bands and appeared to be the frozen stuff from the supermarket. Both chicken snittys were that overcooked they were on the verge of being bricks. All varities of gravies/sauces were a thick gluggy mess.
Wont be going back soon
4/10 overall, the dessert prevented it being a 2/10
