I think truthfully I think it was mindset initially - either:

It wont affect me
I wont get it
My human rights are being compromised
It's a PLANdemic
I'm not a sheep.

Now it's blown up, and they've lost control.

Reading things like people going to work when they know they're positive reeks of arrogance and shows they as a state aren't taking it serious enough.

If they go to full lockdown more will try and flee to other states. Last time everyone was in lockdown so it didn’t happen

Oh, if Sydney had the outbreaks like Melbourne they would be in the same situation or perhaps worse.
It all leads back to the security guard breaches and how quickly it was spread into the community.

I think its a combination of things with the no 1 factor being plain and simple bad luck.
Throw into the equation the cooler weather (not 100% sure of that as far as factors) and the fact Melbourne is a very centralised social place. Sydney is a lot more spread out, the CBD in Sydney is almost deserted on weekends!

 South of Town Hall is shoulder to shoulder people on weekends

My mistake, try to avoid Sydney when I can and usually spend more time over at Darling Harbor after negotiating the outskirts of the CBD.
Melbourne seems to have a lot more social vibe than Sydney though IMHO not just for people from particular areas of the city (think I skirted the issue OK there too hopefully)

And from what I've witnessed from working at and attending pubs in the inner Western suburbs of Adelaide we're very lucky it hasn't taken off here with the practises of some people who tend to live around this area (still tip toe-ing my best).

I think the majority are following rules otherwise we would be seeing cases well over the thousands every day. A small minority are ruining it

just caught up on the days events. Am quite staggered on the numbers from Vic. I think Dan had a shocker again in his presser...and as long as he doesnt enforce tougher rules and lockdowns its not gonna improve.

Yeah, and fair enough. Another gross invasion of her human rights.

Jokes on her, though, because the microchip inserted up her nose will upload all her thoughts and memories to the Gates Foundation cloud server.

Is it actually a law that they must remain at home? Or is it just a "rule"?
Im under the impression they are still "allowed" out to exercise.

I highly doubt its a law as that type of "punishment" is reserved for criminals, not someone who has been unfortunate enough to contract a flu. Sure the right thing to do is stay home but i cant see it as enforceable. I dont think any government has a right to detain someone in their own home

Yes you can leave home for exercise and medical requirements.
I’d guess that VicPol would be questioning their movements to deem if it was essential or not
