I've found the service to be a little better, in some instances.

Get these cheap skates their meals, get them in and out and get some full paying folks in is the feeling I get, if you let them know you have a voucher. I don't usually alert them until I'm at the register to pay though.

On a side note, we have a (3) Scoopon for a Thai restaurant on Port Road. We've used one before, $40 for two courses, a beer or wine for two people. Food was great, service was good, nice little place we thought we'd try again. This time I purchased 3 sets, so 6 of us are going.

The Scoopon expired March 1, we tried calling every other day from February 15 to get in "Sorry, we busy, fully booked that night", when I've tried to book. Even had "Oh, maybe next Wednesday you try again?".

Each time I have asked for an assurance that we can use the voucher after March 1 as they have been "we busy". So, last night I finally managed to secure a booking for this Friday night, with the assurance I can use the vouchers. We, will, see.

That's pleasing to hear, I'm always skeptical when using vouchers, I once used one for a pizza place that I used to frequent on regular basis that denied the validity of my voucher, I lost my shit and was told to never go there again, nor would I have anyway.

Went to The Earl of Leicester the other night for a mate's birthday. Ordered the Large Schnitzel...... couldn't finish the chips. This thing was seriously large and tasted damn fine too. Went the beef over the chicken and appeared to be an inch and a half thick in some parts. Other peoples meals seemed to be pretty nice too.

Best in Adelaide, bar none.

2 out of 3 Booney, the heart's fine. I reckon it was $21.00. I did seem to be a bit short of breath for a day or 2.

Really??? Haven't back there since I got overcharged for their lunchtime special burger and two pints three years ago. Something that sould have been ~$30 was charged $40 for - no eftpos receipt given so I could challenge it.

Was once a fave is now on my never-to-gain-my-patronage-again list.

WOODCROFT TAV

Ent Book is a 2 for 1 upto $30, with a salad bar on offer, which is basically the norm

Ordered Jack Daniels Beef ribs and a Parmi with a jug of coke = $32

solid all round performance for a 7/10, definitely value with the voucher IMO

The Mosely 3/10

Went there last night for a birthday dinner. About 11 or 12 in our group, and i dont think one person was overly happy with their meal.

The service was very good, with one guy pretty much sticking near our table, ready to get anything we needed.

Thats about where it ends for the good stuff. The drinks were expensive. One girl got a coke......$8.00! My Sailor Jerrys and coke was $8.50, so they obviously dont plan on losing money on those pesky designated drivers.

The menu was slim, and quite expensive. We all assumed there would be tons on the plates for the prices, but the meals were miniscule.

I got the Battered Cod, which was glorified fish fingers, and the "chips" were fries that looked and tasted like maccas fries that have been cooking for the last 4 hours. The chopping board it was served on (massive wank facture there) was smeared in pea puree that was probably the star of the dish (MKR reference) but there wasnt enough of it.

To top the night off, they made us all pay in one transaction, which meant everyone had to line up at the ATM and then crunch the numbers over the bill. This was made more annoying by them combining every item that was ordered more than once together, eg Battered Cod - $96.

Service was good but the rest was shithouse, and i dont think any of the 11 or 12 people that went will be back for dinner.

Schnit House, Rundle St.

$23.50 for a parmy and $19.90 for a chicken schnit with mushroom sauce. Came out within 15 mins. On the expensive side but was worth it, when you claim to specialise in schnit and charge $20+ they'd wanna be good and to their credit, they were. Nice crumb, juicy chicken, big size. Chips were well seasoned and not under the schnit! Obligatory, waste of time salad on the side in the bowl.

No Ent Book voucher or anything but if you're craving a good schnit it is well worth the trip into the city.

The bloke on the table next to me had a crack at the Man v Schnit Challenge. Looked like 3.5 schnits, with chips and a 1L stein of beer. Had to get it all down within 45 mins. Didn't give him much of a hope, and looked spent about 2/3 of the way through, but pushed on and got it done in 36 mins, 38 secs. Hats off to you sir.

Golden Fleece in Gawler
Went yesterday to catch up with another couple and watch the cricket. A lot better meal than when I was last there.
I had the pork ribs, little pricey at $42 but large serving of very tender and jucey pork, decent sized serving of very well seasoned fries and a large side of coleslaw. BBQ sauce marinade was awesome.
Wife had the pulled pork sliders which was on the specials board at $18, 4 decent sized rolls with tender pulled pork, coleslaw, aoli and other salad also served with fries.
Freind had the Beef ribs which was a massive pile of ribs and by all reports was amazing, his wife had a Texas chicken schnitty which was a very decent size and had no complaints.
Drinks on the pricey side for a pub but stayed for about 8 hours as there was live music aswell as the cricket on the big screen. Very relaxing arvo.
Food 9/10
Overall 8.5/10

$42 for a full rack, $28 for a half rack.
Food and drink is a tad on the expensive side there but I didnt get through my meal and it was delicious so dont mind paying that
