So...the equipment and well-trained staff did their job. We should be happy about that.

In fairness it was two trains involved.

The reasoning behind the price increases is laughable & smacks of poor business planning.

Driver of a blue Subaru DAMD 04

Fair dinkum buddy, having your high beams on during the day to show your disdain for others' driving is a little bit silly when the natural light is brighter than your lights!!

The anti-detention centre protesters that interrupted question time in federal parliament yesterday by super-gluing their hands to the railing of the public gallery.

After they were removed by security, one lady showed the throng of media the palms of her hands showing skin removed and indignantly commented that she'd been ripped away from question time, or words to that effect.

So, by super-gluing her hands to the gallery, her intention was to stay permanently in the house of reps and she was pissed off that they removed her? Is she comparing themselves to the plight of those in detention? Because as I understand it, they want to be removed, unlike yesterday's protesters who apparently didn't want to be removed courtesy of the powerful properties of super-glue.

Another protester was screaming on top note as she was being removed like she was being abducted by aliens. Hysteria is appropriate if you're being removed from your own house by the secret police, but not parliament house.

I'm all for a good protest and civil disobedience, but if you're going to do it, have a think first. You need more than just dramatic effect for the cameras. The whole thing looked a bit silly.

I know this is about a year old, but it still made me laugh.

Anonymous Artist ‘Wanksy’ Draws Penises On UK Potholes To Make Government Fix Them

After another cyclist friend was injured by potholes, Wanksy, an artist from Greater Manchester, England, decided to act. He used washable paint to draw penises around potholes in his neighborhood, and suddenly, they were repaired in 48 hours.

“People will drive over the same pothole and forget about it,” Wanksy said in an interview. “Suddenly you draw something amusing around it, everyone sees it and it either gets reported or fixed.” A Bury Council spokesman disagreed: “Painting obscenities around potholes will not get them repaired any quicker, but simply waste valuable time and resources.”

Bored Panda journalists found that using the Manchester City Council website, it took 5 clicks, 1 form, 1 survey, and a minimum of 5 days just to get a pothole inspected. Lithuanians use a similar-but-different tactic to get their roads repaired.

Click the link, there's more pics. Apparently some guy's doing the same thing around Sydney (sorry, can't post around Rupert's firewall).

Hahaha, saw this on the news and the news reporter mentioned that people weren't realizing the price until they got fuel. They even interviewed a few people just after filling up and they complained saying the price was a rip off.

If only they read the price of it first FFS lol. I don't know about anyone else but when I get petrol I always look at the price first before pulling into the servo. Some people are just so f**king dumb.
