North Adelaide Burger Bar, 2am, Hot Dog with the lot (BBQ sauce). Just gold. Best $6.90 I spent all weekend.

I gave this joint life last year after I saw the old bloke cooking my yiros actually pick up some lamb off the hot plate and eat it - twice!

I wasn't in any state to notice what was happening over the grill.

Sushi Train at Welland.

We go there once or twice a week coz its the missus's favourite place in the world.

I usually just grab the same things, and try one new thing every time.

Its a bit hit and miss, but usually a good meal. Usually costs us around $35 including a green tea and a Dr Pepper.

Then off to Krispy Kreme across the road for a mud cake doughnut and a coffee for dessert.

7/10

British India on Morphett St - went there for lunch today, we were the only ones in the place.
Nice setting, awesome food & reasonable prices. Entertainment book helped.
Best cheese & chili naan i've had for a while!
6 people including a couple of vegos & everyone was very impressed with the food - serving sizes were also good.

Would recommend & will be going back

Piatto Restorante on Rundle St

Went last night with a group of friends.

I was half cut before we even got there, so this is a bit of a hazzy recollection.

I had the surf and turf, which for $30 was a bit average. Good size steak, only a couple of prawns, heaps of potatoes underneith. The spuds were good, the steak was very grissly, and overcooked. I asked fot MR and got M.

Veggo friends got the veggie calzone. One said it was ok, the other didnt like it. I tried it and it wasnt great.

The Mrs got the S&P Squid. She seemed to like it.

$60 for our two meals was a bit steep. I probably wont go back. Heaps of other places nearby.

5/10

Willaston Hotel (breakfast, again)

It really was a shithouse experience this morning go up to the buffet this pig grabbed six pieces of bacon so the rest of us in the queue had to miss out, hash brown tray empty and scrambled eggs tray just a spoonful of dregs. Sitting there waiting and waiting for them to bring some more food out finally out they come with a tray of bacon. Everyone goes flying up there three little feral kids in front of me grabbing 2-3 pieces each comes to me just two pieces left! I only took one piece and left one for the chick behind me went back and finished the rest of my small initial plate. About 10-15 minutes later as 60-70% of the people are leaving they finally bring out a tray of hash browns, about five minutes later a tray of scrambled eggs and now when there are only about ten of us left finally another tray of bacon.

ALH

Go to the Golden Fleece for breakfast, it is awesome. Or Java Hut.

La Trattoria on King William. $97 all up for two of us includied a garlic bread, bottle of Annie's Lane Shiraz, couple of James Squires as well as two main pastas which were amazing. The pizzas our friends oredered looked good enough but I think they were wishing they went pasta.

Best part of the experience was the fact that I stuffed up the missus order (wanted no anchovies), forgot, the pasta came out, took it back, was happy to pay for a new one as it was my mistake, but the old guy running the place refused to take my money and had another sent out within 10 mins. Class. Will go back for sure just for this gesture.

Got a day trip up to the Riverland in a couple of weeks, anyone know the best place to get a schnitty? @Dogwatcher
