As a football fan I hope he one day feels enough ground has been made up that he will accept the award he certainly deserves.

Agree, imagine how hard it would be for him to do all the media that surrounds the event, you know they would be at him about what he went thru.

Please enlighten us all, what do you find humorous about either of these things?

True.
But on the flip side he could now tell us what he went through at the time and what the AFL need to do better next time.
No one wants a repeat of what he went through so bringing attention to it now with less emotion would be the way to go IMO

That no one ( caveat here, that I can determine) cares either way.

Good point, except a quick view of the comments all over social media shows there is still plenty of emotion around the topic - and mostly in the negative.

I don’t do social media but I would have thought we have learnt a lot since Goodes retired.
I certainly have.

Yeah thats fair, but obviously its still very raw for Goodes, Id hope at some stage in the future he will take this opportunity.

If he accepted the award there would be vitriol, doesn’t accept it and there is vitriol

Was in a no win situation

As a footballer he deserves the award. If he chooses to accept fine. If he chooses to decline, fine. I really don’t care. Same for Rugby League, don’t care, would rather watch paint dry.

SOO is some of the best TV of the year. The physicality of these blokes is one thing, the willingness to participate is another. They have massive onions and I love watching it. Especially when NSW wins.

I'd just like to assure everyone nothing has been deleted today, in fact I can't even remember the last time anything needed deleting off this site.
That's just The Bedges attempt at humour when he got called out successfully I assume. ;)

Nope, there were definitely replies that went up - one was from Jimmy - I thought you must’ve deleted them.

Just checked the logs and both Booney and Jimmy deleted posts they'd written themselves. No mods deleted a post of anyone else's.
