Fritz does not go on crumpets. Cheese does not go on crumpets.

Poached eggs do go on crumpets.

1. Vegemite and butter
2. Cheese (real not plastic), bacon, tomato and cayene pepper for hangover cure

Either square or round - dont care

But agree with the packaging - always amazed me
My kids dont worry about gladwrap - someone else's problem

I brought up this mass debate* on my FB feed once.

Square crumpets

Im of the opinion that the only things that should ever touch crumpets, are butter, jam and/or honey.

On its own, without butter.
Jam on its own, without butter.
Honey on its own, without butter.
Butter on its own.
Simples.

And I only wanted to know why I couldn't re-wrap the buggers!

Pseudo's novel crumpet hack: Buttered crumpet dipped into hot tomato soup for lunch on a cold winter day. The square ones work best for this 'coz they can be torn into fingers.
