Black listed companies

I've had enough of being treated like a second class citizen by some companies, so this thread is started up to tell stories of companies that in your mind, you'll never use again for whatever reason.

For me, firstly, AGL. I've said this story numerous times about getting electricity to our block of land and AGL telling us we already had one. 4 months, a buggrred Christmas break. Gone.

Second, Pergolas of distinction - made my heavily pregnant wife project manage the entire thing. The verandah we got wasn't what we're after and has a stupid beam going across in front of the roller door, finishing absolutely nowhere near anything. Clear panels weren't installed as directed and in the plan. Just a joke of a mob. Their head honcho who quoted us later said "yeh, I'm not sure how I thought that was going to work". You betcha.

Thirdly, The Print Bar, Qld. I launched a company in early May and searched around for someone to do online design and polo top printing. Their promise was orders would be sent within 7 days. I ordered and paid for it on 12 April. I got an email in late April apologising for the delay because of Easter etc and saying they'd have the stuff to me in mid May. It arrived. After 1 wash the screen print wore off. I complained and asked for a refund. They said "instead, we'll embroid them and send them out again, but it will take a few weeks". Ok. Waited 5 weeks. Emailed them back and they said "oh, we'll have them out straight away for you (which raised alarm bells). They've resent the screen printed ones out again (which will no doubt again fade after 1 wash). Rubbish company, don't use them, please!

AGL are hopeless and particularly obstructive when they owe you a refund.
Any home renovation or improvement company that advertises a lot is automatically suspect in my mind.
Try Vistaprint for T shirts - for a few dollars that printed me a one off design on a cotton T shirt made in Nicaragua, which has not shrunk, and has retained its printing, after several washes.

Nestle. Multinational giant corporation that drains the water table in poor nations to sell bottlded water to those that can afford it in local communities. Got no money, TS, you drink muddy crap and die. Get ****** Nestle. Been boycotting them for months.

I had a shitty with Mrs_Dog_ger's local fish shop café.

1st entered and made my order.

New girl says $30. I say $20.

She looks to the manager. Manager says $20.

Ha, my order came to $20. Young girl says.... Ha that's the change from $50.....

I haven't given her the money yet...

Not impressed...

Pick up my order. Get home. We are a Steak sand with the lot missing.

Have to go back and pick up the rest of my order.

That night they lost a regular customer.

No hard feelings. Won't ever go back. Found somewhere better@StAgnes.

the problem with the bit multinationals is that they are pretty damn hard to boycott. props to you if you have actually avoided all of these brands

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nestl%C3%A9_brands

a huge amount of their shares are owned by L'Oreal

They give the order in a nicely folded brown paper bag.

I suppose, the bag of chips made up the weight? :D

Adam Internet. When I first started with them almost two years ago I was getting slow speeds and regular dropouts. After about a month of that my connection stabilised but was still slow. Fast forward to this month and my connection is currently like 56K dialup.

Mickyj wrote:Bupa

I've never had a problem with them. Recently I had $1,500 worth of dental work done. They covered 98% of that! 8)
