I've booked the following so far:

3 nights Darwin
Cullen Bay Fishing Charters - blue water fishing
2 nights Dundee Beach - staying at Skippers
Dundee Beach Fishing Charters - Barra fishing
1 night in Batchelor to see Litchfield National Park
7 nights in Darwin
We'll probably hire a car and go to Kakadu as a day trip

So far, we're booked into the following restaurants:
Peewees at the Point
Darwin Sailing Club
Cathy's Place

I would welcome any suggestions / comments

Gees not cheap. I flew a family of 6 to Viet Nam and the 2 week holiday cost less than this

Are you staying in Darwin for 10 nights? There is very little to do or see in Darwin itself.

Plenty of pubs though.
You’ll need all 10 days to visit them.
Start with the Parap Hotel.

Palmerston Tavern....

Pee Wees is the best restaurant up here hands down

Char tried to rival it but when we went two years ago it was sh!t. It closed down due to crap reviews but has re opened so hopefully its better.

Beachfront hotel is good for a beer looking over the Nightcliff beach.

Sunday session at the Casino pool has a great vibe and good views if you know what I mean....

Best time of year to head up there, check out Palm Cove also, expensive but absolute paradise

Palm Cove, IMO, is over rated. I'd stay in Port Douglas with the budget or Cairns before Palm Cove again.
Don't mind the Greek Restaurant there but apart from the esplanade it's just a small village between Cairns and Port Douglas

I liked Palm Cove but after also having a holiday in Port Douglas last year, I much prefer Port Douglas.

Might pay to check out some restaurants online and book in now. Had a mate go there last month and he said they struggled to get into many places due to being booked out months in advance. I recommend the Tin Shed for dinner. Normal pub fare but the views are fantastic out on the front deck.

Goodluck mate. I had shoulder reconstruction 6 years ago after 4 dislocations.

Did all the rehab and have since being playing rugby union, cricket and a few aussie rules games without any problem whatsoever.

Yep, booked everything 2 weeks ago for that reason.

Awesome. Having goals should help keep you on track during the rehab.

All I can say is no matter how pain staking, lame, boring, the rehab is do it correctly and you will be rewarded in the long run.

Yeah, I think that's why my right shoulder is so bad because the first time I did it, it was a preliminary final which we won so instead of doing the right thing I played the following week in the GF. I dislocated my left one 2 years prior in an elimination final but did the rehab & kept it in a sling for a couple of weeks & don't have anywhere near the problems of my right shoulder. The surgeon has said it's 95% likely I'll still need a replacement done on the right in 10 years

Agree with the rehab part.

I have had the same shoulder reco'd 3 times, first when I was 17.

I found aquatherapy was the best for me

All the best with it

As I review the weather forecast for tonight, and then look at the swag of forced changes again this Saturday.. I'm certainly looking forward to Thursday, 12 August - the last Thursday evening i'll have to worry about as a footy coach, and can enjoy winter evenings at home in the warm. :D

LOL, when I seen you're name written as the last post in this thread I thought that it would be something along these lines.

It was either that or you were looking forward to picking up a tv with me later.
