Goodluck mate. I had shower reconstruction 6 years ago after 4 dislocations.

Did all the rehab and have since being playing rugby union, cricket and a few aussie rules games without any problem whatsoever.

Cheers. Hoping to be able to ride the motorbike again & do the Finke Desert Race next year.

Awesome. Having goals should help keep you on track during the rehab.

All I can say is no matter how pain staking, lame, boring, the rehab is do it correctly and you will be rewarded in the long run.

So after saying, definitely going to do the rehab properly, shoulder has been feeling good so stupidly I went outside & did some yard work yesterday. Big F****** mistake. Hopefully haven't stuffed up the surgery.

LOL. Silly boy. I went on a footy trip 4 days after my first knee recon and left the crutches on the bus all weekend. Biggest mistake I ever made.

Personally I would have a chat to your doctor/surgeon if you are genuinely concerned you have made things worse.

Yeah you probably shouldn't have done gardening but it also doesn't mean you have to live the rest of life with pain because you made one decision. Be honest with them, let them know and see if they can take a look and give you some piece of mind.

Me too! Dunno why people get stressed about it. I would do it for them if I were allowed.

Cracka, I'm no doctor but there is a reason for the "6 weeks in a sling"!

Hopefully you haven't done too much damage to it and you can get back to diggin' in the garden again soon.

Its just the recommended time for the procedure I had. Pretty sure it's the recommended time in a sling for most shoulder surgeries. Speaking to doctors & other people, I've found out that shoulders are probably the most complicated things to recover from, can be 8 weeks, can be 8 months. With a hip replacement they make you walk out of the hospital.

speaking of cars, when COVID hit all the car hire companies sold off their cars thinking they would be over stocked for at least the short to medium term, now with all the internal travel there is a massive shortage and you are waiting months for new ones to arrive, if you can order them. People are paying stupid prices in Tassie for them with locals even selling their car to tourists and buying them back at the end

Take the emotion out of it and it's easy. Same with buying a house. Have a price in mind and don't deviate. If they don't accept there will always be another option.
