I've long said I think horse racing is up there as the most dangerous sport - Sitting up front with 10 tonne of animal right up your clacker would require a shedload of bravery.

Whilst the deaths have been bad, so too have many that survived (Scott Leckey, Tye Angland, Libby Hopwood etc) with permanent life-altering injuries.

I was going to add “journos” Kane Cornes & Tom Morris to this but then remembered they actually chase the ambulance...

Road cyclists decending down mountains at 100kph with just Lycra to protect them, amazing there isn't more crashes and deaths.

Ice Hockey looks a bit scary! I was happy playing Field Hockey at School as it looked safer than Aussie Rules.
(Mind you "Chicken" Hayes was the school footy coach back then.)
