Australian's who want a holiday back in Australia for a short period should be told no. We'll see you in 4 months time when the vaccine has been rolled out.

If I told you our CFO let our Financial Accountant ( yep, that's what she calls herself ) go to Bosnia back in July to visit a sick relative (we're told) and, cop this, not only allowed it but facilitated a new laptop for her to take to do her work upon and now the company we work for has realised she can't actually get back and may stump up business class airfares for her and her partner would you believe me?

I would believe you.
Companies make silly decisions all the time.

But yes, these are the exact sort of travellers I'd be comfortable saying you pose an unacceptable risk returning now, you can wait 4 months.

Personally don't mind people wanting to come back to Australia. Just think they should get tested (and return a negative result) within 3 days prior to getting on the plane. Still would require them to do 14 days quarantine on the off chance they've contracted it since.

They have to provide a negative test that was completed in the 48 hours prior to boarding the plane.

Then wear a mask on the flight, changing it every 4 hours.

Some of the repatriation flights have no on board entertainment offered. Or food. So bring your own.

Simply get the repatriation out of our major cities, time for Sco-mo to step up and take control of this, surely the economic benefits of us eliminating this virus is more important than any costs it takes to get this right.

By time somewhere is built the vaccine will be available.
Would be far easier to make the current system better by having all staff wear full PPE for starters

I'm sick of hearing about possible vaccines, we've been hearing about them for months, how about when we have one and it's being rolled out to Australians you can let us know then, they rave on about it a couple of times a week.

Fair bit of pressure on this vaccine being the ultimate answer, if we can eliminate we could sit back and watch the Northern Hemisphere and how it progresses before releasing it here
