Masks are good in theory but

How many people are reusing disposable masks, I say a shit load
How many wash the reusable masks after every use, I say not many

Masks are relatively easy and don’t hurt the economy so I can learn to live with it.
That said, given SA Health have released all from directed quarantine now it makes you wonder what is the monster under the bed they are worried about?
If things are safe enough for all the close contacts to walk around in the general public, surely things are safe enough for those of us who never went near a positive case can be put in public without a mask.

I heard a theory that the government copped pressure to make them compulsory.
They asked companies to start making them at the start of the pandemic, companies did so and then they never got used, so now had to make them required to allow the sale of these stockpiles.
Probably not true, but certainly sounds plausible.

Its the most logical explanation so far.
How would you be over on the West Coast having to wear a mask? Or anywhere further than an hour outsdie of the City for that matter, not a single case in 18 months and here they are subjected to the same restrictions as evryone else. It is the most illiogical way of dealing with it.
Pubs up here are still hurting, no one goes into them because of the stupid mask rules.

Yep its crazy.

So at the moment I can sit at a pub in the middle of the 'hotspot' cluster all night long at the front bar next to a bunch of strangers and not where a mask because I'm drinking alcohol.

Heaven forbid though I go into a shop 200km from Adelaide that get no more than 10 customers a day without a mask.

Its getting really bloody hard not to side with a lot of Days thoughts on the matter.

It's a movement thing, and you still have to sit 1.5m away from each other.

It's somewhat insane though when you weigh up the inconsistencies.

He is the second head coach the the Men's Hundred competition to test positive to COVID-19 during the tournament with Trent Rockets coach Andy Flower who returned a positive test.

Was he vaccinated?

Yep, 2 doses of Pfizer.
Lucky, hate to think how crook he would be if he hadn't been!

Does this mean his side can continue to play while he isolates, or do they have to undergo COVID tests / isolation etc too?
Yes they can still play I believe, in a statement from the London Spirit it said that Warne will isolate from the squad and support staff whilst he awaits PCR results. A second member of the team management is self-isolating after also returning a positive test. No players have been impacted.

Sanity Prevails!!!

Up to 1000 people will be allowed to attend outdoor community sport events, provided they are wearing masks and are distanced at one person per two square metres.

Totally concur with you absolutely makes no sense.

Like i stated in a previous post i was at a party last Saturday night.

Before entering we had to put our mask on the QR code in the walked up a flight of stairs then signed in a again,

Approx 40 to 50 people attended the person in charge laid down the law no drinking or eating whilst standing up if you had to go to the bar to get drinks you had to mask up.

Funny thing is most of us were sitting on those high bar stools around those bar tables 4 to a table some were sitting next to each other on lounges all very nice and intimate.

Of course the drinks and conversation flowed no 1.5 around these tables some times we stood up with drink in hand as well.

Of course after copious amount of drinks we all sung Happy Birthday and we all got told off.

So can you all see the absurdity and ridiculousness of mask wearing
