Spent 8 hours in the RAH yesterday,
I've torn the intercostal muscles & cracked a rib on the left hand rib cage.
I've been hit by a car, kicked in the nuts, broken fingers & toes, had a biopsy & was married twice but I've got to say, anything to do with the ribs has got to be the worst bloody pain out there, especially when you cough or sneeze, and there's nothing you can do about it (apart from swallowing copious amounts of Endone),
anyone experienced anything as or more painful?

1990 GF, 2009 2nd Semi, 2009 PF....

The trick is not to laugh.

Not that it happened to me but I reckon the ole sparkler in the dick hole would trump that.

No it doesn't.

Slipped disc in the back is the worse I’ve experienced.
You literally can’t move.
And Endone does nothing for extreme pain

Have broken my ribs three times , broken every finger, over 100 stitches in my life, having a bulging disc that flairs up but nothing compares to the pain of my initial shoulder dislocation.

This. I did this in the back corner of my yard cleaning the pool, and it took me 30 minutes to get to the back door from 15m away. Excruciating.

I knew one of the victims and one of those charged.

The movie was filmed in a house I used to rent, it was pretty trippy trying to work out what looked so familiar.

The main chick in the movie got her role because one of the casting crew seen her at the shop going off at her kid.

Ive done the intercostal 3 times playing cricket
As gazzagroundedmagoo has posted, the simple things like coughing laughing farting can cause grief

Gaz Ive mildly strained that muscle many times as well
What works for me for minor strains is to ice up the area ASAP

The other thing that might help is to place pillows either side of your body in bed to reduce side movements during the night
I actually put heavy books on the pillows for rigidity

The most important thing you can do NOW
