Thank you Gentlemen. Had to give Onsong a bunker play masterclass to give myself a chance to drop a 6 footer for the 3.

Out of all the pars I have had there this one is easily the best. Into a howling breeze with about 180 odd to the pin. Knock a 3 hybird into the green side bunker. Up and out of the sand and sink the putt to walk away with 3 for 3 :)

I didn't see the shot though. You could have easily foot-wedged it out ;)

Then on Tuesday afternoon, I went out at Balaklava and hit a 91, 42 stableford points. It was my best round for some time. Possibly ever.

So your hand wedge was on song ( ) then?
Top effort.

Used to work with a member of Koey and used to get a couple of invites every year to have a hit, lost touch with him a couple of years back but bumped into him at the Glenelg Port game recently and got a fresh invite, even better he is retired now so plenty of chances to get out there :)

First comp as a member is done and dusted. 32 points for the day which I was happy(ish) with, I left so many points out there with a few duffed chips putting me in a bad position, or when I was putting in a good position I would miss the putts. Good thing is I can go out and work on these things so I don't make the same mistakes again next time.

Shot of the day was nearly holing the Par 3 15th. Pin was front edge and I put a PW about 5ft past and it spun back to within 1 1/2ft. I was so happy with that as it won me the NTP too ;)

Hoping to head out again on Friday for a casual hit and work on those shots from about 150m in.

Was pretty impressed with TTG. Good course for the "average" golfer.

With two novices we played best ball and went around as a foursome in 80, 9 over. Not bad considering the two of us who were the better of the four would be off about 25-28.

Lost two balls between the 4 of us (both in the water) and with carts played in just over 3 hours.

Lots of pretty attractive membership packages on offer there at the moment too.
