In saying that the comp is on a very steep incline

Have to disagree in the 25 years I've been following the NBL this is the best standard it's ever been.

Back in the Al Green early Mark Davis days the comp was only semi-pro.

It was great to watch in the 90's but guys like Ray Gordon or Warwick Giddey wouldn't even make a roster in this day and age.

IMO the late 80's and 90's was a better comp but as I said it is on a steep incline.

The great thing is it is creating some interest in the NBL, even we have managed to fill a couple of pages on a thread that times gone past wouldn't even have a post

Unlike the other players mentioned he's not surrounded by out and out guns taking the pressure and focus off either. I don't think there is any question that he is the best player the Sixers have ever had!

My only quip about Jerome is he is not a great defensive player and sometimes his opponent can score too easily

NBL Ladder after 10 rounds:

Sydney 10-7
Adelaide 8-6
Illawarra 8-7
Perth 7-7

Melbourne 7-8
Brisbane 7-8
NZ Breakers 7-9
Cairns 6-8

You would've got some incredible odds before the season if you had the Sixers sitting 2nd on the ladder at the halfway point of our season.
