Very open and free flowing game. As Bloods08 said, next to no defence. Its a little like watching Golden State play Phoenix. Entertaining game though.

Some very sloppy defence by New Zealand sees Perth in the bonus after just 90 seconds in the third quarter!

Final Score

New Zealand 96
Perth 94

Thrilling finish with New Zealand making some schoolboy turnovers giving Perth a chance to steal it.

Premiership hangover hitting Perth?

The story surrounding the possible takeover by James Packer of Ten and One HD:

http://www.businessspectator.com.au/bs. ... t&src=hp16

Last Sunday's Adelaide 36ers v Perth Wildcats game attained a peak of 172,000 viewers on One HD - enough to place it at around 42nd of that day's programs overall. Doesn't sound a huge amount, but for the second game of the season to be televised to reach that figure is an excellent start for the new free-to-air deal. To have the possibility of losing this will be massive for the NBL, so the hope would have to be that either the takeover doesn't surface, or that somehow the One HD channel survives along the way.

That is concerning news CK.

The Crocs are about to name a replacement assistant coach for the departed Pat Reidy and it looks like it will be Paul Woolpert who has spent time in the NBA system & the D-League.

Hawks turnover with the ball and 20 sec left and 2 point lead (even)
Hawks turnover with 8 sec left
Hawks foul on the buzzer...is it OT or 2 shots???

Might be time for the backboards to light up on the buzzer ala NBA (only Melbourne and Townsville have this currently). Also, maybe One should show the last minute to the 1/10 of a second (like Sky Sport do for Breakers games) to assist the refs checking the replay.

But what a finish!

Think if the 6ers can put that sort of defensive pressure throughout the year we will be featuring in the finals this year ... i know one game is no measure but seem to finally have bit of balance on our list. Winder could well set the league alight ... Taipans up by 2 points 7 minute mark 2nd qtr as we speak
