The Sydney Kings have announced the signing of their 2nd import, 6'3" SG Charles Carmouche straight out of college from LSU.

Another signing by the Sydney Kings in a surprise Cody Ellis the son of former Perth Wildcats legend Mike Ellis. He's signed a 2 year deal and is a 6'8" PF who had been playing at Saint Louis University in the US, the same school as just departed Wildcats import Kevin Lisch.

Frye dominated in Iceland last season but the standard there is a bit crook.

A few signings today with the Melbourne Tigers announcing they've signed Boomers forward Mark Worthington who played in Serbia last season and they've also released Liam Rush.

Also the Townsville Crocs announced the signing of their second import Brian Conklin a 6'6" PF who just led his team to the championship in the NZ league and also the Crocs announced the signing of 7'0" NBL veteran Greg Vanderjagt.

The Melbourne Tigers have announced they've completed their roster with the signing of their second import 6'6" guard Stephen Dennis who had been playing in the D-League and have also signed big man Auryn MacMillan who played for the Hawks last season.

Cairns have also announced the retirement of guard Kerry Williams and Townsville have announced former club veteran Mike Kelly is returning to the team as an assistant coach.

The Wollongong Hawks have announced the signing of their first import in Rotnei Clarke a 6'0" combo guard straight out of college from Butler who once scored 51 points in an NCAA game including 13 three pointers.

NBL pre-season games have started already tonight the Sydney Kings minus Ben Madgen and both imports lost to the touring University of New Mexico 87-85 in Bankstown.

Top scorers for the Kings were James Harvey with 27 and new recruit AJ Ogilvy with 22 and Kendall Williams led the Lobos with 24 also young Aussies Cameron Bairstow & Hugh Greenwood had 22 and 13 respectively.

The Sydney Kings went down to touring Butler University last night 82-76. Not a bad result really given the absence of Madgen, both imports and last night AJ Ogilvy. For the Kings top scorers were James Harvey with 20, Brad Hill with 19 and Tom Garlepp with 18, the Bulldogs were led by Erik Fromm with 18.

A pretty big import signing with the Perth Wildcats announcing the signing of Miami Heat's 2nd Rd draft pick James Ennis, a 6'7" swingman he was drafted by the Heat from Long Beach State and just scored 25 points in an NBA Summer League semi-final game.
