Have noticed that now, I read it the other way round. Still sounds like a fair bit to give up

If you read it as cap space and picks for Deng then it reads better. Nice salary dump by the bulls and they get a load of picks to get younger.

Cleveland also plug their biggest hole and get rid of a cancer.

Feels a lot like a concession by Chicago that with Rose hurt they're a few years from being a serious threat. I think it's a sensible move, albeit sad to see. Now they've made this move it feels like Boozer will be the next domino. I like Boozer but it's never seemed like he fit perfectly in Chicago. Boozer to New York perhaps?

Good chance it'll be Boozer to the highest bidder/wherever he wants to play. He is almost certain to get amnestied. Small chance he is traded but I'd say any team that wants him will just wait till he's been amnestied and sign him then.

Nice to see Greg Oden get back onto the court.

Bogut's stat line against the Pelican's was more than handy. 15 rebounds, 5 blocks and 10 points on 5/5 FGA. With Bogut firing I don't see too many more complete starting lineups than the Warriors. Come the pointy end of the playoffs I think they'll regularly not have the best player on the court, but they will rarely have the worst.

Just needs to break his arm so he can shoot free throws again.

Franchise and stadium record. 13 rebounds to go with it too. Always capable of that sort of performance, if he keeps hitting the boards and learns to play a team game then he'll stake his claim to be in the Durant/James class.

Unfortunately for Melo he is stuck in a god awful team. We stink and Melo is often selfish because he feels he has to do all the work because the rest of the side is rubbish.

He's got some handy blokes around. Certainly a better group than what LeBron had in the Cleveland days. Obviously Melo isn't quite the same player but if James can get those Cavs to the finals Melo can get the Knicks into 500 territory given the competition in the East.

Teams will never, ever get anywhere when Melo is the 'best' player on the roster.

For as good as is he offensively (for a ball stopping chucker) he is a terrible on ball defender and a horrible team mate that doesn't help in any system.

Could be a great second/third player on a team but with the ridiculously salary he will command I doubt any team will be able to afford him like that and he doesn't seem like the guy who will take a pay cut to win.

For his sake I hope he does cos he ain't winning shit on his own.
