Also shortly after tonight's loss the Cairns Taipans announced that coach Mike Kelly won't be returning next season.

Also today the NBL announced that Andrew Bogut has taken up his option for a 10% ownership stake in the Sydney Kings.

The 36ers are getting one last home game, this Sunday afternoon's season finale against Melbourne United that was to be played in Melbourne has now been moved to Adelaide Entertainment Centre due to the lockdown extension in Melbourne.

Also the NZ Breakers have announced the signing of Ousmane Dieng as a Next Star signing for next season. The 18 year old project from France is considered a potential lottery pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. The 6'9" forward has been playing for INSEP Academy which also produced Tony Parker and Boris Diaw.

Not sure why they wouldn’t open it to members to get people here.
They did offer 25% off all tickets though online.

Hopefully the 36ers don’t get blown away in the 2nd half.

Yeah it's not great they should've made it dirt cheap to get in knowing virtually no members would be attending. I was thinking they might do what they used to do with some pre-season games $5 a ticket or something.

But probably not much incentive being a United home game United or the NBL would be paying for the rent/functioning of the AEC probably not the Sixers.

It was a very sterile game and atmosphere.
No 36ers promotions or give aways for kids.

Melbourne played their bench for most of the game and still won easy.

Some sad news former Townsville Crocs and Perth Wildcats championship winning import Galen Young died overnight. He was only 45.

Apparently he was visiting his mother's place and using the computer in her lounge room when a car smashed into the lounge room killing him.
