2011 Wimbledon

Hewitt through in 4.
Stosur out in straight sets.
Tomic was awesome, very good win. Would be nice to see him win a few more rounds. Agreed with NFC he could be anything, just needs his old man to back off a little.
Hewitt has a tough on against Soderling next whilst Tomic will play Igor Andreev. If they both can win it will set up a 3rd round match against each other.

I've noticed that this year all the old manual scoreboards on the outer courts are gone - replaced by smaller electronic scoreboards.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

Surprise, surprise, rain delay at Wimbledon. Venus just lost tie break in 1st set against Date-Krumm

Saw the best womens match and maybe one of the best matches ever last night between Venus Williams and 40 year old Kimiko Date-Krumm that Williams won 8-6 in the third set in a match that lasted 3 hours.

If Date had been able to close the first set out at 5-1 on her serve, it may have been a different story.
Date would be fitter than 80 per cent of players on the WTA tour.

Soderling beats Hewitt 6-4 in the 5th.

Hewitt played a fantastic game, unfortunately soderling was always going to respond. Hewitt unlucky still had a couple of chances to pinch it.

I only saw parts of it but doubt any matches that go into 5 sets can be unloseable. Maybe if someone is virtually dead.

Soderling wasn't injured or anything was he? :?

Maria Gruntapova survives the first set against England's Laura Robson in a tie breaker 7-4. Robson led 4-2 in that tie breaker.
