have to agree, my wimax has been getting worse and worse.

did some renovations on the weekend and moved the ethernet point where the wimax comes into the house. when i plugged it back in it wasnt working. was like 90% sure it was my fault, but just wanted to ring up and make sure there wasnt an outage before i started taking the cover off the wall etc.

well FIFTY (50) minutes later on hold, i decided to hang up. in the meantime i managed to go get the screwdriver out of the shed, take the cover off, check the ethernet connecter, (i got it working again) but i did all of this whilst on hold.

reckon they have gone downhill in the last year or so, might be worth giving nuskope a go imo

haha. pretty sure i will be

i do have a pretty high degree of brand loyalty though, it usually takes a few things to annoy me before i start wanting to move. slow speeds plus long hold time are those things atm

Nuskope guy is here at the moment.

Tried to put up a whole new mast on the roof to get 2db extra signal strength, which I told him not to worry about, but he showed me his preliminary testing and he was getting 18 megabit!

He did come inside and try to get on the net and it didn't seem to he working and now he is back up on the roof so not sure what happened but I have a nerd boner right now.

your speeds will fluctuate but you should consistently get way over the advertised 12/1 Mbps that you are paying for.

of course they will flucturate

even if i consistently get 5Mb it is still a huge improvement on my adam connection, without even taking into account it is double the data for the same price

My speeds used to be good with NuSkope (20+ easy), they are now well below 5 which is dissapointing.

My brothers got the same problem.

Maybe they've got too big a customer base to sustain now.

How long has he been with them?

Perhaps is intentional.

He's had it for about a year. When he first got it, he was getting over 20, now its 3 or 4 a lot of the time.

mine still seems to be pretty steadily around 12-15, which it was from the start. sometimes it dips down to 3-4 but not often.

goes with the territory of having WDSL imo. thats why i laugh when people say this is an "NBN" solution

the power got cut to the ulebury tower as a result of the, you know, BUSHFIRE :D

the generator only lasts a short time i think it is more intended for small outages.

(i don't work for them just saw it on whirlpool, but i am a customer)

It wasn't because of the bushfire this was weeks ago.
Don't be fooled by the awesome speeds. They endure plenty of problems
