The problem exists because you cannot sync if your tablet cannot get on the internet? Gmail.

I will end up at the Telstra shop & say "what do I have to do to get this thing up & running...?"

They will say, easy "$$$$"

If you google "My tablet cannot access the internet"

You will understand how broad this problem stretches.

Does anyone have a tablet up and running, and was it easy?

I am looking at a kindle fire now, Mrs_Dog_ger has a basic Kindle and it is free 3G and wifi but Mrs_Dog_ger says they are not for sale/registration from amazon to Australia yet.

Although you can buy them in Australia now...?

Another mistake I do not want to make...

I will eventually learn to solve this problem and share it with you, but it looks like it will take some time.

good idea, it's a basic config issue so throw it away and get something else ...

Of course you cant access gmail if you arent on the net.

You have to connect to WiFi before you can set it up.

When you throw it out, let me know and I'll collect it. Love playing with toys
