Was amazed at how slow the apple products are compared to every Samsung I did the same thing on.
Even managed to get a white screen of death on the Ipad twice!
HTC was frigging awful and easily the worst though, if I had one of those I'd throw it into a brick wall!

Overall these devices are so good at what they do that it's almost hard to make a bad choice. Almost.
It's getting to the point where it's a Ford v Holden debate - when both cars get you there in the end in remarkably similar ways.
(And for Centurion):
Fro my experience in the past, iOS is great. Android is great in theory, but it depends what phone you get as the manufacturer use their own "flavour" of Android. Remove the bloatware that comes with most and you get a far better device. Windows Phone is actually pretty damn impressive and with more apps being ported to it, it is a viable option. The interface, speed and response is easily as good as an iOS or Android based phone if not better.
Grab a friends phone who trusts you and ask to mess around with it for half an hour, use the Internet, make a call, send an SMS to yourself and see how it feels. That's the best indication.
