Just lately have been getting, Windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.Can anybody help please.

Windows explorer or Internet explorer. If it's the former....uuummmm. If the latter don't use it. Can't go wrong with Google Chrome and Firefox.

Sorry should have said i get this notice when i try to watch a movie on my computer.I am using Firefox should i delete windows 8

Try looking up and downloading vlc. It pretty much plays anything without any issue.
