Its only going to get better & stronger out at the Townies!

Is there a 2011 Fixture draw out yet? Are there any new teams going to join this year & any teams going to other leagues???

2011 program will be presented to clubs Monday night at the AGM.

Wouldn't think that at this stage there would be any changes to the clubs for 2011.

Is 'Shoeboy' alive? Haven't heard boo hoo from him since seasons end - any word out of Noarlunga?

Porties picked up anyone?

Emu's getting anyone back - Sammy J ?

Seems everyone is still pretty quiet in relation to recruiting.

Any clubs starting to have training soon?

Why's that, have you got some new recruits or are you talking about a tougher pre-season??

Yes (has been mentioned in the "Player Movements in SFL" thread)
Dalgy was recommended to us from a past player who saw him at CLG and said he would fit in well at our club. He is the only confirmed player so far.

FHFC has had ca$h for the past couple of years to spend on recruiting, we just refuse to wa$te money on players who expect too much for what they are judged to be really worth (in FHFC's opinion) to the team.
Unfortunately some players "worth" gets over-inflated by interest from other leagues, and the FHFC stance is why should average standard players / recruits get paid the big bucks when home grown guys get base pay?

Anyway, I'll leave it there, as it's probably more for the "Players Movements in SFL thread".

well put i totally agree i hope flaggies do well! are they keeping sam smith or is he giving westies another crack????? would be a handy forward line if butcher returned with dalby and smith! you could even chuck in carey if he was to return. My sources told me that gordon carey wanted to coach the b grade this year and adam would of come back and played. but the B grade position was already filled with the assistant a grade.

Buther did meet with the club, but is $taying at Onka$.

Sam Smith is staying at Flaggies - his heart bleeds for the club, and is a great prospect and club man.

Rod Mitchell was appointed B Coach for 2011 soon after 2010 season ended. He is a quality person and a great asset to Flaggies.

Personally I'd love to have Adam Carey back either as a player or assistant coach this year. Not sure if his body is up to playing full-time atm, but his football knowledge and communication skills would be great around the club in a Delopment role, and if he wants to give it a go, why not?
We'll just have to wait and see what Adam decides to do. He has my number so can ring me if he needs a reference ;)

He's a good friend of mine and it's not my place to say. Not going to air dirty laundry on a public forum about my own club either. Just saying it wasn't about money his choice to stay at onka's.

Don't get too excited. Both over 30 now. Good players in their day but you wouldn't spend $ on them

Daniel Butcher is a quality lad and took a pay cut this year to stay with Onkas and loves the club so maybe you should get your facts correct before posting ill informed tripe.
