Wasn't much in it. Just a stray fend off after a marking contest from a Fitzroy player (who took the mark) but gee did the north haven player make the most of it. I am sure if he was on here he would say the Fitzroy bloke should be arrested for man slaughter. Gave the umpire a fair mouthfull as well which was pretty awful seeing as how he was just a volunteer. He finished his rant then took his guernsey off and walked off. This was the 2nd quarter of the early game. Pretty ordinary

Actually the North Haven players tooth was put through his lip...id be a little bit angry too. And he had a wedding to go to, so was only playing half the game, and since it was very close to half time it made sense to just go then.

As many on here would be well aware I am not a massive fan of North Haven and was not persuaded in any way after watching them Saturday. From all reports Fiztroy had plenty of senior experienced players out and looked it. North Haven full strength team was allowed to do what they wanted. Havens looked very young and not much has changed from last year. They do have some pace but very small lean bodies will not like the physical contact week in week out

I played in both games for North Haven, and just my opinion, i think we'll have a decent year. Both teams have won both of their trials. We know where we're at and where we're heading and thats all that matters.

From what I saw North Haven will be a lot better in 2011 than 2010. Not sure if they'll push the top few, but they did appear to have good numbers out there. Fitzroy on the other hand were pretty ordinary with limited numbers. They are in for a long year from what I saw and now must be spewing they didn't sign Chad Bourke as Coach last season and took on Shane Mitchell.

My understanding that Fitzroy had a fair few out. As for the Mitchell v Bourke thing.. Fitzroy lost 5 or so games by under 10 points if they win those games they play finals. Bourke a former player to pillage an old side is that good form ??

FC, could we please get a reset on predictions, whislt it is flattering I don't think Haven are the favourites for anything other than bottom 2.

cant believe im goin to agree with jugs. i would prefer bourke to mitchell any day of the week... was very surprised fitzroy appointed him. considering there are so many bad reports about him...

Maybe they took him on face value. Instead of just listening to other peoples reports...

looks like that, but you reckon you'd do some research when your hiring someone to coach your club...
