Red- Eastern Park, Hope Valley, Golden Grove, Modbury, Pooraka, Salisbury, Salisbury North, Salisbury West, Elizabeth. Blue- Broadview, Ingle Farm, Gepps Cross, North Haven, Seaton, Port District, Portland, SMOSH-West Lakes. Yellow- Flinders Park, Kennilworth, PHOS Camden, Plympton, Lockleys, Mitcham, Goodwood Saints, Henley.

A pretty good competition IF all of the above clubs actually field teams which last the season. It's still a concern that NEMJFA, for example, has 24 clubs fielding teams in the U/14-U/16 age groups but only half of those clubs run an under 18 team.

Agree with you Pearcey, Metro South have 11 clubs this year and the good thing is that we have 5 clubs run under 18's compared to 4 last year.

IMO, Henley should be playing against SMOSH and Port Districts. I can see why theyre not, but they were the most fun to play in U18's.

Most of them are involved with seniors by then though Pearcey. I understand your concern but I've seen it for years, it's a bit too much to ask the young lads to back up on Sunday after playing on the Saturday in the senior divisions.

Due to a lack of numbers, Lockleys has had to withdraw it's u18's team. Maybe next year.

Mitcham advised tonite that they are struggling and may not field a side as they only have 10 players currently.

Let that be a lesson to you, Port Adelaide Sturt. & Norwood You don't beat Glenelg in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Was told that Port Districts 18's have moved into the southern comp (yellow?) to help even up numbers.

If Mitcham pull out aswell that means that yellow will be short a team again and will have a buy!
get on board the thunder train!!!

didnt play in the weekends trial as he was a touch sore from playing in the Bs the day before and has to go away for state baseball at some stage this week so didnt want to run him in to the ground, appart from that he is flying, pound for pound would be the toughest kid in the comp (was last year as a first year player) alot of the boys in the A grade side are wanting him to play A grade thats how much respect he has from the older group, no one will ever question his intensity just needs to clean his skills up a touch. how are you connected Old dog

Big call there Piccachu. Giles form Haven's is playing A grade at 16 and backing up for the 18's. This kid is going to an absoulute superstar and plays footy the way it should be!

not doubting he will be a player but imo chris's attack on the footy and the man for a bloke his size is second to none in this league, i think he will be playing As and buttering up for the 18s the next day at some stage this year

I think he is just screening potential son-in-laws so they dont weaken the family gene pool with dud footballers, I think there is enough in his family already.

Im thinking that filling a team may be to hard this year.
Alot of kids have said they can play but would be week to week basis due to school footy and school work.
If we dont get a team we will sit down and sort out next year already so we can field a side.

Nathan's a gun, his skills, especially his kicking is immaculate. He's only 16 at the moment, can't wait to see how good he'll be when he's 24-25.

Under 18 Red
Dwight Reserve: Hope Valley 7.14(56) def. Eastern Park 2.14(26)
Harpers Field: Golden Grove 15.15(105) def. Modbury 1.3(9)
Argana Park: Elizabeth 19.7(121) def. Salisbury North 6.2(38)
Salisbury Oval: Salisbury West 13.15(93) def. Salisbury 2.5(17)

No disrespect to Hope Valley but looking at the Eastern Park side they had a lot of talent out of their side yesterday, at least 4 or 5 that are playing div 1 and a few more that are playing div 1 reserves. I heard they had a big party on Saturday night that cost them a few players and a few slow movers yesterday.
Word on street is that Salisbury West are the team to beat, we'll see what happens as the season progresses.

Salisbury West's 18s were very good yesterday and will take a fair bit of stopping I would think.
