Has been named to play and cleared. There is no clearance from angaston on the website though, does that rule not apply any more?

Heard the #50 guernsey was the deal breaker and enough to get him across the line.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?

Sorry IS should have shown more faith in the lion cubs.
The lads were fantastic today and dismantled mals mob in the end.
Huge inclusion in the ruck department, hardly lost a tap all day.
Freeling looked very ordinary.
Handy 23pt win to lions. South let freeling get a few cheap goals at end to put some respect on the scoreboard

Willaston vs Agaston

Postby SWALLOW » Sun May 08, 2011 1:29 am

Seen one of the best quarters of football in the BLG for years, the Donnies are a serious football side, if they had of kicked straight they would of one by alot more, one forward kicked 4.7 and all inside 30.

Ango struggled after the 3 week break, 'fortunately' the league have given us 2 of those this year so maybe we can
improve on it next time. Willaston too tall forward and too hungry in the middle.
Jack Miles breaking his arm a huge loss....... Injuries are a curse we can ill afford.

Meanwhile Craig Harvey continues to drift for the Schluter medal,
if some one doesn't break his jaw soon he could get out to double-figures.....

Im thinking he shouldn't be playing forward with kicking like this. ;)

Not sure Ango are going to be top 4 this year.

Went to Willaston on Saturday and saw a very competitive Willaston team give Ango a once over.
Donnybrooks kick straight it would have been a 15 goal victory.
Taylor CHB, Jones Ruck, Campbell Centre all played well as new imports and with Williams, Childs, Baker, McLean and Walton all good contributors the Donnybrooks look like they are a threat this season.
Results on Saturday show 2011 will be a great season with many teams a chance for finals footy.
Heard on Saturday Willaston had also signed up a gun player from Adelaide Plains and he will play next game against the Lions.

6-7 Players missing will do that to any side. Heard that Greenwood and Eichner didn't play for Freeling on the weekend and they got beaten by south. Missing players can play a big part in winning or losing!

Word on the Grapevine suggests that Goal Umpiring is again a contentious issue, this time from the Kapunda vs Tanunda game.

Have it on good knowledge from even a few of the Tanunda lads that they were having a quiet chuckle about a goal awarded to them late in the 3rd quarter, which in their words was... "Way off"

No real surprises as to which teams goal umpire it was either???

Big article on the front page of the Herald today. Neither Media Mike or Fisher wanted to put their own name on it.

Better watch your mouth there SD, the goal umpire in question is one of the best in the league and umpires through the final series, I can tell you he takes it very seriously. Yeah he made a mistake but who doesn't and it would not have effected the outcome of the game.

Just on the game, it was a great game to watch and expect to see Kapunda upset a few sides this year and finish reasonably high up on the ladder.

Decision could have been more important than an Australian Open final.
You can never trust those Tanunda people Skip.
