Hamley Bridge v Mallala (1 - 39 points)
Hummock-Watchman Eagles v Virginia (1 - 39 points)
Two Wells v United (1 - 39 points)

Looking forward to the big clash at Long Plains on Saturday's with both sides winning last weekend against more fancied oppenents. Two Wells keeping its season alive with a victory snatched from the jaws of defeat. A vintage performace by Lee Allmond who won the Roosters the game off his own boot.

Lee would have at least 8-9 votes in the Mail Medal already I would've thought. Gun.

Lee had an uninterrupted pre season and it's showing on the field, he would be one of the hardest players to stop in the league!

What game-plan have Mallala devised to stop the goal-kicking power of Barry Burgess?
Surely that will be the difference maker on Saturday.....

Another 5 goals from the goal kicking ace from a team total of 7 goals.
Should be enough for a belated call up into the Landmark Cup squad.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?

extremely enjoyable game at the bridge yesterday, although gutted at the result i thought the game was played well by both teams, very heated and passionate game but plenty of mallala boys back in the bar afterwards which is what its all about at the end of the day.
Thought our boys pressure was first rate and to mallala's credit they worked through that and got the chocolates. 40 points once again not a great indication of the closeness of the game.

A few questionable mallala supporters though! =)

Scud, what are us 'outsiders' to make of the deafening silence coming out of Hamley,
regarding the constant snubbing of Burgess in the best players?
Another 5 out of 7 yesterday and no love?
Equates to the same as 10 out of 14 and that would surely get him the nod in any league.
I don't get it, the boy must be seething,
Hopefully the Landmark cup selectors are a little more insightful than the semi-blind monkeys
that select the best players at the Bridge.

would of hardly thought burgess would get a look in in the land mark cup side, some good forwards in the league at the moment, witnessed him first hand a fortnight ago and if he could of had a shot from CHB he would have. IMHO dawson and big nic are probably in front of the walking ego for the spots and i dont think you can play all 3

He is in the top three forwards in the comp, so why shouldn't he get a game?

Normally would bite back here but really couldn't care what others feel about the way i play, i go out and do the best i can for hamley bridge each week, because of people like newton lines, sue lines, the shahinger's, jo and darn eastwood. And all the others who put their blood sweat and tears into the football club. Great club with great people. As i've said before more than happy to have a beer after the game with anyone, to show i don't quite have the ego that is shown out on the field.
As for kicking a goal from CHB pretty sure im not the only forward who does that,

Ha ha thanks stewie, but na i was pretty average yesterday, so certainly didn't deserve to sneak in on that performance. We had plenty of guys who worked there butts of yesterday with relentless pressure,
I notice you said that you might come have a look in your bye, would've been good to see yesterdays match was just like playing back at angaston at williamstown and bay 13 giving me hell. Except there were 4 bay 13's yesterday. Was really good!

yep true that point plenty of forwards do that. some times it looks ugly and other times it looks as if they are taking it apon themselves to carry the team as i was saying before tho dont think they will play 3 specialist forwards when prob all 3 would not be suited to play CHF, i think they are all suited to playing out of the square imo,
