Next week is approaching, and surely we are all thinking Tanunda easily, but who wants to tip the Team Of The Year?

Mohammed has had a crack so far, not sure about a couple of his selections...

I stand corrected Mohammad... Couldn't attend the game on the weekend, so was unaware they had picked a team, a shame I missed all the drama.

Some interesting picks then. I thought Mensforth would have made the team, as well as Pech from Angaston.
Blakemore could feel a little left out too possibly, but then I guess you can only pick 22 men, and all are deserving.

All, I think the Willaston vs Barossa debacle has ran it's course and everyone should agree to disagree, there's a lot of hypothetical's and what if's but at the end of the day it's history and unfortunately Barossa were defeated in bizarre circumstances.
Could we try our best to push past it and concentrate on this weeks game and let the authorities deal with something that no one can do anything about now.

I will say LM that this incident has made the BL&G look like a joke. And no one from the BL&G has got in contact with anyone from Barossa since the incident.

1: How would you know being involved with Cobbies?
2: Have Barossa been in contact with the BL&G? As far as I can see it there's a penalty in place for the rule and it was followed, whether it's an apt penalty for the crime is what needs to be decided upon. Personally, I think it's too tough.

He followed the rule book completely.
Is not fair to point the finger at everyone, especially a young bloke doing a job we all need done,
Without the white-maggots we don't have a game, and he has only done what the rule book says.
If someone calls for a head count he has to follow it through.
This is all missing the point, the rule remains the problem.
Not one person did anything outside the rules on Saturday.
Energy would be better spent lobbying for a change to the rule rather than playing the blame game.

and a club lost an A grade final match The head count was before the ball was bounced i.e. before play had started, of course it was the fault of the officiating umpires. It was poor sportsmanship if the coach was just late in leaving after the huddle had split, if he was lining up in poistion fair enough, but surely common sense should have prevailed, its a bloody A grade final for Gods sake, not a junior colts game, the whole this makes a mockery of the league in my view, surely the league needs to step in and shows that someone is thinking logically.

A) false, the quarter had started, the timing had not
B) fair enough, but since when do teams have huddles at CHF and he wasn't a starting bench player for the 4th quarter (ie he wasn't late in splitting from a huddle, he was about to take position)

Pinchy can see some of your points here, and after the reading the papers today you can see that Willaston where well in your rights to do what they did. This still does not change my opinion that it was not in the spirit of the game and I would be very dissapointed if my club did this. Also the way your supporters carried on was very poor. We may meet yet this final series and I certainly hope the game will be played in the best spirit.

Have been told by a number of sponsors of Willaston that they will be thinking of pulling their sponsorship for next season. They have heard that people in their area are not happy with the way the Elimination final went. This is not crap, just wait and see.

Tanunda will be impossible to beat this year so every other team is playing for second spot, which in turn will still have ramifications on each of these teams points allocations for next year obviously depending on where they finish.

Enter Roger James, the man has worked out that finishing fourth will still allow BD to maintain there points for next year, he can't tell his team to fall over so he decides that after 3 quarter time that he would have 19 blokes on the field and a head count would take place and BD lose all there score and game over. Tells his players not to go the Biff so there are no carry over reports for next year.
