How can a potential grand final side still have 15, south have 15 and finished last

 You sure?? Could be calculated from average games won over 2 or 3 years.Think Ive heard something like that before but the full 15 points- surely not!! This points system is more confusing than a Wacka Dawe half time address.

The points system is very easy to work out. Firstly, the average wins over the past two home and away seasons is determined, then based on that number (rounded down for any fractions) the points are allocated.
0-4 wins = 15 points
5-7 wins = 12
8-10 wins = 9
11-13 wins = 6
14-16 wins = 3
i.e. Willaston had 9 wins over the past two seasons, /2 = 4.5 av wins (rounded) = 15 points
South Gawler had 6 wins /2 = 3 av wins which = 15 points

By the BLG site i am wrong
Funny that some other leagues have including Finals but BLG doesnt
and
The only league i can see this written into it " The Directors have the discretionary power to vary a club’s allocation. " " (Rule 7.7 of Constitution) "
How come BLG can have this but others dont
I would have thought the Comminity Football people would have had to have this rule standerdised through all leagues

So Willaston could potentially go down to 9 points after next year if they win the same amount of games as this year. That would mean they have to drop a player from the A’s for 2013. Losing 6 points in one hit would be hard for any club.

Dont forget that the 'import' players points reduces by 1 each year he is at the club, so if they can keep them there then probably not as bad as it sounds as a 3 point player this year will only be 1 pointer in 2013

G C may have a playing coach next year that is related to the captain, would be more than handy in the BLG.

That’s a bit harsh on Dawe if this is the case. Not sure if a change of coach will solve G.C. problems.

Would want to be decent money as the Dogs have offered him a good job to stay on aswell as giving him a contract at their VFL affilated side. Dare say a heap of SANFL sides would throw some coin at him aswell

Great system this pts thing NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who ever thought up this system is a total moron.

It works really well in the BLG according to your leagues President when he spoke to our league a year ago. So well that Tanunda is still winning flags and belting the crap out of every one.
Maybe he should look at the problems inside his own league before telling another leagues how to run theirs. This system has caused nothing but untold trouble in our league as it is designed for the country not the metro area.

Totally agree with others here. Sam Walton a very deserving winner of the Schluter Medal. When Willaston was good, he was good and when Willaston was bad, he was still good. Gives his all out on the park whatever the state of the match.
Only surprise for me was Heath Commane not polling more votes.

Well done to Sammy Walton his fitness and ability to get to every contest is outstanding and add to that he is very handy when resting up forward makes him a very dangerous player.
Also well done to Diddles to back up last years win with another 2nd placing, think that makes it 4 top 3 finishes for him now, with an ounce of luck could have one all 4 a be talked about as one of the great country footballers of this melennium, even if Lubcke doesnt think so.

Well done to young Sammy on the accolade, think I tipped him to win the Schluter mid year.
Would be the first donny without a tough sticker, shaved head or goatie to take home the gong
Donny's have now compiled a nice list of medalists since joining the BL&G.
Will the donnys take the Schluter and Flag quinella.
Schuby informs me Diddles has now 1 Schluter and 3 runner-ups.
