I only said he was a good bloke. Didn't say anything about his coaching. I can't speak with enough authority on that as I haven't really been around the club. But as an individual, I'll stand up for him against a character assassination.

Sorry about the late reply here but at this stage it looks as though the side is going to be reasonably stable, obviously there is always some movement but none really at this stage. Silly season Doggy, apparently Prior & Schmidt are off to Eudunda but if you ask them they say their staying. Craig Underwood will probably retire due to injuries but Matt will probably play on. Some rumours about Kennedy returning and Matt Westhoff but not too sure whether this one will play out.

Just hope GC dosent have carpet in the club
They will need plenty of stain remover if they have, after their new coach's previous actions at his last club

Its officially in The Bunyip this morning mate...Damien Herzick is coaching the tigers next year

Not sure what the big deal is. The committee were obviously able to observe the bloke first-hand this year as an assistant and they wouldn't have appointed him if they didn't like what they saw in his behavior and/or coaching...

Sponge at Wallaroo, is this true?

The way he is going with his coaching (sacked half way though the season, took at team from bottom well to bottom 2 years running, to being told by the players that they will leave if he coaches again, to across the other side of the York) how far away from the city will this guy go?

Have heard that one of the team in the USA is after a new coach, someone pass that on to the sponge.

Its a definate if we're talking about the same Sponge. Rian Nelson is coaching Wallaroo in 2012. he obviously loves coaching footy so whats the issue. If a club believes in him then, you can't blame him for taking a job. IMO he had Hamley on the right track, it may have been a long process with the group he had, but for other reasons unknown to me, he wasn't a good fit for the playing group. Im not gonna speculate, but the game day structures they had in place were pretty impressive for a team that finished bottom.

Under whose byline? Peter Argent or Steve Norman? Only one of them is an actual journalist

Steve Norman is a contributor I understand, not a journalist as such, but always accurate. I'm also struggling to see your point Pilot.

Yeah I'm sorry - it was just my sense of humour. I know Argent pretty well and Norman is a mate of a mate of mine who takes the piss out of him over a few jars mainly in Kapunda but I've never met him. It was just tongue in cheek stuff and I never expected to raise so much interest. I take it all back and hope to fall under a bus any day now.
