Surely with all the players they have at underage level the club would say we are playing our locals first or say we have enough already.
They only play colts and then go back to clubs in the SAAFL and good young locals miss out and give the game away.

Could that be the reason they're always so good in Underage colts competition but so poor at senior level ??

I believe that a Junior South coach went to coach out at Central Districts. He would get players from other club and have them play for South to boost their numbers with good players, then rotate them into the Central Districts under age team. They would have a playing list of about 48 players.
Something to think about

if money is the only object then the donnies dont need him. should play with love for the club not for what they feed you. thats why you shouldnt pay players big straight up, when the money dries up, they go with it

Think you might find that if you could canvas most clubs that lure outsiders, the common denominator is the same - $$$$$$'s
Loyalty is a bit like the pet canary, out the window and gone! ;)

I understand that outsiders will only hang around if the money smells good, but chris is a local boy, played junior footy at willaston, but would leave knowing they may have a decent shot at a premiership because the club cant put enough notes into his little wallet, just pathetic.

lethal are you saying he would or Wouldnt? surely this bloke gets alot more attention than he deserves on this site. From what i have seen he Wouldnt be in willastons top 10 from last year anyway. With the recruits being added i cant see him being in the best 15 anyway. Move him on! Next.

Bring on Season 2012 in the BL&G - and more importantly, if you are yourself, or know of any ex players/netballers who would be interest in keeping involved around the BL&G footy scene, umpiring is a great way to give back to the game and also have a bit of fun!!!

BL&G Umpires are one of the strongest umpiring groups in SA so come along and have a bit of fun in a great league! PM me for more info!!!

Bit harsh there Richie! With what I've seen in recent times if he was fit he'd be in their best half a dozen. Don't get too carried away with these recruits until you've had a decent look at them. :o

The worm Chris McLean if fit would be in the best 3 players at the Donnies without doubt.
Problem is he is lazy and wont train and the gets himself injured and is off no use to the team.
Explosive and can win game of his own boot.
Great kid of the field and loves a bet on anything that moves
To be fair to all the clubs that are courting the Worm he should make a decision and stop being a prick teaser and get out to training and prove himself to the doubters.
I would think he would be shattered if the Donnies of 2012 went all the way and he missed out.

Both would do well for you boys at brahma, savage is a quality player, didnt stand out in BLG that much in his short time, but a good footballer at that. Sav was brilliant against gawler centrals in the Prelim last season in the middle, def play him there. Daniel played a couple of games in the 2's, but saying that he was no slouch either, good in the guts too or on wing. Is micheal bates playing too? is a decent full back!

Heard something interesting today regarding Tanunda... Lost two players that some would consider a big loss for them... I think one of them may have been mentioned to be leaving already on this site...
