as i stated in an earlier post about willaston they had no-one doing pre-season. now the games have started everyone wants their match payments.the same loyal blokes turn up week in week out. this has forced the club to give penalties to players not training.

Who were the 50+ footballers I saw on the track 2-3 times during February/March??? Perhaps it was a mirage....

Barossa v Angaston - First time we will ses the Panthers in 2012, but Barossa are building to win a premiership. Doggies by 8 goals.
Willaston v South Gawler - The Donnybrooks need to get over their individual egos and play as a team, Lions will get close, but Willaston to prevail in last quarter scramble. Donnys by 2 goals.

How did Freeling show that?? They defeated what many are predicting to be the bottom team by just 2 goals

GC will be better tha you think champ. By the way who's side you on this year? Willaston, Angaston, hang on what side is SANDY CREEK aligned to. :-)

Free v Tan. Tan by 10+ Goals. From all reports Tanunda were simply awsome last week against Willaston.

Kap v GC. Hard to pick a winner here i think both teams may struggle this season. Both sides coming of losses but ill go GC in another close one.

Will v South. Willaston to win the local derby only due to the fact it's played at Willaston. Match of the round still even after both sides poor start to the season. Both sides will be keen to have a win next to there name.

I have also been told that the comp has lost a couple of key players for long periods of time can anyone confirm? Spencer & Walton? Or is this simply rumours?

RR you could be onto something with Walton-made some calls this arvo and he injured his knee in a intense session on Tuesday night with coach Irving laying down the law to several players for there intensity and commitement at the ball against Tanunda.
Believe Cole and coach had words on Saturday and Mills may have done a injury also on Tuesday night.
Walton may be in doubt for several weeks depending on how he pulled up on Wednesday or off to a specialist.
Would be huge blow to Donnies if Walton is out for an extended period.
Wish him well as he is a great lad.

Heard Walton and Mills both looking at 2-3 weeks on sidelines.

WTF! Just saying I saw a bit of the Freeling v GC game, champ. I just thought Freeling looked better than they have in previous years.

South by 5 goals today, Willaston got a few goals in junk time to make the margin smaller than they deserved.
Willaston even resorted to some behind the ball cheap shops and thuggery but were never in the hunt. Way too many passengers

I see Ben Burgess has picked up where he left, it's was like he hadnt had a break from coaching at all, just slipped straight back into it from the 1st siren and got the job done.
Saw him after the game and he had a grin from ear to ear.
Some may say his team lost but he convinced me they merely came 2nd, only just behind the winner. His record is eerily similar to Black Caviar.
With this sort of positive attitude im sure Ben will recieve the baton from coach Hadden in the very near future.

You never cease to amaze me daisy, Benny wants to coach the club, but will have to at least wait until Coach Hadden hands over the crown.
Maybe a better managed Malthouse/Buckley style transition in 3-4 years time.
Jackie Fosdike made an impressive start and took home the Anzac medal for the panthers.
Commane was his usual handful followed by General Bennett for the afternoon.
Panthers not far off pushing for the four by seasons end, now officially vacated by the Donnys for 2012.
Pinch Hitter will be holding crisis talks at Elliot Goodger park thismorning.
Managed to tune into Media MikeFM for the broadcast, best thing done since his T20 was released.

Big call to make when we are only in round 2. still have 4 months to go and anything can happen. One thing i will say is that the league apart from tanunda is much more even than last season. If the recruits arnt up to scratch, then why was McDonald named best on ground for the donnies. Gordon will get better and in a months time i think everyones opinion on Willaston will change. Those players with supposed ego's are players that any club in the blg would love to have, but on there day when there on can turn on any game.

McDonald was ok but Gorden was rubbish.
Maybe if Jones got as many kicks as he threw punches and behind the play snipes the score would have been closer.
Cant believe Walton wasnt named in your best

Gordon just had a bad day, the guy can play, just needs to gel with his new team and he will prove his worth. Sammy is a superstar, sometimes the bests dont go by who really played well, so many of the 1 percenters never get recognised. I had South in my top 4 earlier on and i reckon im on the money there, have far more depth then last year and will push the tanundas and barrossa's come further into the season.

Believe South may ask the league to look at the incident where Mussolino copped a very dirty hit especially as the umpires coach was watching not too far away. Be interesting to see if its taken any further
