Adelaide Footy League Talk

Postby Pag » Mon Apr 23, 2007 7:30 pm

I don't think he was talking about Robinson magsy, think Felch was referring to Portland's B Grade centreman...

And did anyone realise that on the SAAFL website, it now has the Mitcham v Unley game on Saturday instead of Wednesday? Glitch, or has it actually been changed?

You are right Pag, i wasnt talking about Robinson - settle down Magsy

We are pretty confident against Ingle Farm this week, but wet weather is predicted, so you never know what can happen. We wouldnt expect them just to lie down.

Felch should the senior Portland coach start to feel some pressure that the B grade coach is winning and developing some good players in the twos.

Surely you wanna be the senior coach of the club at some stage?

There hasnt quite been YEARS of torment, did it tough the last two though i will admit. You have to remember it is only round 2 - still alot of footy to be played yet, lets not get ahead of ourselves. I am happy so far though.
Why would the senior coach feel any pressure - he is doing a great job developing players and has won 7 of last 10 games.
Dont have any current aspirations to be senior coach ROH, still learning and have alot to learn.

Felch, the only thing you learnt as a player is to belt blokes, i hope you are learning more as a coach.

Any changes this week? How is Birdy going? I tipped him to win the medal, has he started well?

Im wising up to your tricks FM

Cmon ROH, thats a bit harsh. I copped as many as i gave

Should be no changes this week, i think we escaped injury free from weekend. Maybe Depalma might push someone out. Birdy going ok, 2 reasonable games, no umpires votes though, i wouldnt think.

Demps who would have the umpires votes from your first two games so far? Hoody be in there?
Robbo would have got the three on the weekend no doubt.

ROH your being very kind to Jean Claude Van Felch seen him many a time belt the living suitcase out of someone who was very unexpectant. Hope he instillls this in to his team. Your saying all the right things Felch. One week at a time yada yada yada, cmon deep down your feeling pretty confident about this year and maybe becoming just one of a select few to be a premiership coach at the mighty portland thunder.

Newman, like i said, it is only round 2. Just happy at the moment to be winning games rather than getting beat. This can change though in a flash, im aware of that.

Newman the only A grade premiership coach is the great Gavin Crack.
Does anyone know what he is up to these days?

I dare say if he is in Adelaide still he will be at Districts game tomorrow.

Felch you have been reading too many Neil Craig coaching books. Give us something to read. Tell us the Thunder are gunning for this year, and there is no excuses for not going up a grade next year.

Felch i see the veteran David Figg was in the goal kickers on the weekend. You have a team of kids playing and then you pull the ever green Figg from Sundays Super Rules team to play???

Is he getting serious about playing again?

Kicked a lazy 3 from a flank - very fit and adds experience. Work is an issue with him though, probably rules him out one week in four.
