I think it's been mentioned on here more than a few times the Roosters will be almost certainly play finals football and have the potential to cause some damage.

I believe Jayden stayed in Ard's over night for observations. he was picked up by his mother today. He is sore but recovering.

Apparently it's been a while since the APFL U15s had a win, let alone nearly won the carnival!

bloody good to hear,when i left there they where talking about flying him out so must have changed after we left so am happy he will be right,it was a shocking way to land on his head and then two players crash into him

Some big margins yesterday!

Also saw in the Reserves at Mallala that Brian Montgomery played 2's and kicked 12 goals. Coming back from injury or no room now that the Pies have Scooter Hahn?

From what I heard on Saturday old Brian might miss the next few matches with this suspected broken hand which prevented him from handballing all match! Credit to him for playing on though!

i was unable to be there, but spoke with his sister last night and she said "hes a Wedding, he will tough it out"

I'm not so sure MC, all these huge winning margins must be of concern. Not just in the A Grade but even more so in the B Grade and even in the colts I just can't see how clubs such as United and HWE can turn around their massive lack of depth, particularly in the junior grades.

I meant the standard of the top A grade sides has improved IMO, and us and probably Hummocks havn't kept up and gone backwards slightly, hence the wider gap. Hamley are/were coming from a long way back.

As for the ladder, has anyone noticed that the top 4 sides in each grade bar junior colts (which is 1 out), directly correlates with the 4 teams with the greatest direct population to draw players from.

Is this the points system already having an impact? Is it just co-incidence and a natural cylce of teams fluctuation?

If its the latter, then fair enough and swings and roundabouts would assume it will fix itself up over time.

If its the former, then this points rule needs changing from next year to allow extra points based on population disadvantages. As Donkey has mentioned its already clear what's happening with results and what will continue to happen based on the huge margins which are consistent with the more populated teams winning convincingly on the less populated in ALL GRADES. This IMO will only continue to be the case in the foreseeable future.

The likes of Balaklava have done so well to cover their depth in recent years because their bottom tier players have been juniors who now have had a few seasons of senior footy under there belts and have become very serviceable senior footballers blossoming in a very good side.
The key for Hamley Bridge this year is to retain the recruits from this year and continue to keep building on the list and get some more senior games into the juniors. The past few seasons have seen too many come in and out the club and not enough retained and become 0 pointers.

We have new leaders once more, wangas#4 and Hazbeen bypassing UNDERthePACK and BOMBERS with perfect round scores of six points to take them to the top of the table.
It was virtually six easy points of offer in a predictable round, eight posters notching perfect scores including OnSong, The Big Shrek, jumbo, Alabama Slammer, Bob Loblaw and norm11.
norm11 and Hazbeen have had three perfect rounds in a row, some sort of record, while mighty hounds has one more week before he is scratched too, along with infinity+1.

Fingers crossed they all stick around as they are quality footballers.

Disappointing finish to what was otherwise a good game.
The margin all game was around 3-4 goals and we kicked the first couple in the last to get within a couple goals but Virginia found another gear and kicked a couple on the trot and blew the game open to win by 9 goals.
Doesn't get any easier this week playing against the undefeated premiers.
