Adelaide Footy League Talk

Fist why would bird leave a terribly run club like portland where all his mates are and join a club which is even more terribly run like haven where the blokes are just there to play for the coin and not each other. You throw money around for a quick fix but surely haven can not maintain paying these players for a long period of time. When the money runs out these blokes will be gone. This is not how you breed success. Lenno learn how to spell mate so people understand what the hell your talking about.

Sorry Felch, got it from the horse's mouth on Saturday that they're sticking around down at Largs...

Sorry to break up the Bird to North Haven chat, was interested in getting some tips, a couple of interesting games this week:

Unley v North Haven (By a bit)
Salisbury v Pooraka (Should be a good game)
Portland v Mitcham (Will be a test to see where Mitcham are at)
Rosewater v Ingle Farm (Hard to gauge where they're at at the moment though)
Para Hills v Pulteney OS (By a bit)

I agree with you too Pag, except i reckon Pooraka may bounce back this week and beat you guys in a close one. Portland v Mitcham is an interesting one - unknown territory for both sides, teams have never played each other, wouldnt think many, if any, Mitcham guys would have even seen Portland's ground before. Might just tip it in our favour.

especially with portlands current injury list, whilst your close win on the weekend may have been a character building one, is it a reflection on the depth of the a grade side? especially coming up against a quality opposition in form felch?

Year 2000 mate Mitcham was the only side to beat Portland twice that year. Portland then went on to beat Payneham in the grand final.
