Losing players Jim? They would take 6 points out of your allocation.

Not that im aware of yet. Not sure how we will be for points next year, we played under this year.
Might have to play some -1 point kids ;)

Where is the ca$$$h coming from at South, they spent $110k this year.
Gowans rumor would also be rubbish, they wouldn't have the points.

Surely this isnt true, half of south's team were locals? Where has this info come from or is it merely a "guesstimate"

Not sure about every yr MQ... but...

NEWSFLASH - the Gowans HAVE retired from SANFL so there is a fair bit of merit to the rumours rather than just a hope they will play country footy!

Im pretty confident in my source that provided this info!

No, it was a lad from Eudunda that was celebrating their B grade win, he ran across the road and slipped under an oncoming car and was completely run over. Barossa had left but it happened in front of the Tanunda lads who where in complete shock. I'm pretty sure that he is hurt fairly badly so we hope that he recovers soon.

All credit to the Barossa and Tanunda lads, they had a few drinks together in very good spirits before hand.

A great day at Lyndoch. I think the BDFC should be proud of
what they have achieved. The atmosphere was great with
no cars only spectators on the fence. Well done the league for
taking a risk. It truly paid off.

I got a text message last night from a number I didn't recognize, but suspect is a journo I know with a new phone, asking me if I'd heard anything about an incident involving Tanunda players, a hotel and some acid. I knew nothing about it but was wondering if there was anything in it.

There was an incident with some sort of chemical that the lads placed on a slip and slide on grand final night that they thought was a detergent.Apparently 5 players required hospital treatment and one was more effected than the other. Not sure of names but did happen.

My wrap up of this years tema performances

Barossa:Worthy winners and will be around the mark for sometime.Exciting group and have a number of talented juniors coming through.Few players returning from rumors going around in Turner, james and maybe big ruckman they had several years ago.Key is James staying on as coach as league clubs are sniffing around.
Tanunda:shattering we lost GF but this bunch of lads will fight back in 2013.Forget about players leaving they will all stay apart from maybe AJ Prior. If the Directors give us the points we should be on then we will still be pushing BDFC in 2013.Under 17's have some gems coming through unless they get flogged by Centrals.
Kapunda:Not sure if they over achieved or are better than most think. Some players getting long in the tooth and Buckets having injuries makes him less of a threat but still one of the best in BLGFA.Valentine, Brady, Ryan, Turrell's getting on and there best juniors should be at CDFC next year.Hearing rumors already that Brownies job is there for Buckets to take over and would that not bve a great pity as Browny is a great coach
South:Great year and with some further targeted recruiting they will be around the mark next year.Great group of young ones coming through but I hear not all great off the field.
Nuriootpa:Need a new coach and not sure why they just don't appoint Norton and get on with things.Byrne boys gone I hear and not much coming through in juniors that is not at Centrals.I think they will struggle in 2013.
Willaston:Well Ockers back and they expect miracles. Many not happy with appointment but players seem happy and not the mass exodus that is being talked about and more a goodbye to those not committing themselves to training and following game plan.
They still have 12 points and some strategic recruiting will seem them around middle of table but expect issues off the field.
Freeling:Money does not buy success and how important is the selection of the 2013 coach. They keep on buying the wrong coach and Leal they got rid of because he did not play some of the committees sons.Leske getting older and doubts on Schubert I think the Redlegs in for a long year.Hope not as we need a strong Freeling in our competition.
Centrals:may sound funny but 2012 was a good year for GCFC considering all the lost players and issues with Hercick as coach.Hercick proved he can coach in my opinion and with players coming back and them at last splashing some cash around they will be the big improvers in 2013.
Angston:No Hadden and rumors Ladhams in line to coach in 2013 the Panthers will be on the bottom for some time.Know Osama and Stewie will go bonkers with my thoughts but see no juniors coming through as the best at Centrals old list and no hope in 2013.Worst recruits in 2012 and can't seem to attreact any goods players since Bascombe, Green and Spanagel.

And what points do you think you should have? I would have thought 3 is over the top anyway. Given your record zero would be more appropriate

I thought Nobby was standing down next year Brook? How can he help them with points!
Comments about other clubs from the Uncle a little Tanundacentric don't you think. News is up to six returning to former clubs including AJ; problems that arose - a god word - will be too much for some to take for another year.
You discounted Kapunda this year as well - how about credit where it's due; and just because a player has been around a while doesn't mean they're old. Check your facts. But Nangas has retired, though most of team will be around next year, only 2 juniors likely at Centrals for whole year.
My mail is coach might be from a bit further north, but it's Buckets if he wants it. Browny great this year, but might need a change in coach to secure some players, and go one step further.

Points allocation is 5 to 7 games won on average over a two year period is 12 points
8 to 10 games is 9 points.
what happens if you average 7.5 games won over the two years.

Then it gets rounded down to the 5-7 game average. So Willaston are allowed 12 points in 2013.

Hotty of course his rap up will be Tanundacentric as that is who he/she supports but I do think what Uncle Sam has said is pretty close to the mark. All believe that there will be a mass exodus at Tanunda now, I have some bad news, looks like only 2 at this stage and then there are 2 very high quality players that will be coming back in plus some very handy U17's coming up.
