Wondering what everyones thoughts are for each club in coming season
Would think Barossa would be the team to beat, as reading the past posts, doesnt seem like anyone leaving them, where as other clubs seem to be loosing players

This year must be Salters chance to shine, Byrnes boys due for another club and probably gone, and Nicholls already gone isn't a good way to start.
Unlike the traditional Nuri they have had a playing budget and recruited under his tenure.
Norton, Gibson and Gerhardy all sniffing around and waiting for the green light in the departure lounge is my mail down at the Angus Park today.
In other news at the Tanunda Club yesterday, its still not beers and skittles at Mettwurst Park.
My mail was there had been some recent communication with someone first or last name James? Could be some value in booking a taxi for Britton by round 10 is my mail?
AJ Prior is now officially gone and Nicky Schmidt all done bar the paper work.

Osama we know that you like to try and be comical but this is absolutely ridiculous and totally false to suggest that Britton is facing the chop and a certain James is set to take over. Britton in 2 seasons has finished 1st & 2nd, not too bad, your club holds onto coaches with far worse records than that.

Does happen the Brighton coach got the flick after 2 seasons as coach. Won a premiership and come runner up the next yr!!

I am worried if he gets a long term injury and how the Maggies will cover him but good luck to him he has no job and is getting paid to play a game he loves.
Hearing at the Clubhouse last night a Gawler team not happy with a cross town rival trying to poach players with big sign on fee, huge weekly pay packet and a don't worry we will get you a clearance splurge.
Not a good way to start of relationships between clubs in season 2013
.

Ok ill bite. Dunne and Fry > SGFC?
IMHO a player should be able to play wherever he wants and not be restricted by the fact that their parents made them play a season or two at a club when they were 14 years old. Bring on free agency.

These wouldnt be 'Free Agents'. AFL Free Agency only happens when you've given a club years of service...

Thats were the BLG fall behind, most leagues have a rule if you have been out of the comp for two years you can come back to anyone, not the BLG, no matter how long you have been away for, if you want to come back your old club has to clear you... SILLLY!

I look at the Freeling situation to one either of two ways:

1) They are not rushing a deciosion, not trying to get a high profile instead of a good coach (an error it may have made in the past)

2) They are running out of options really fast, no-one wants to go there!

For them I hope its 1, but i get the feeling its 2...

Spoke with Dusty Millar in the Sydney airport after his Canberra job interview, lenghty process before decision is made. Could be reason for Freeling delaying decision.

Certainly has a long list of followers pushing his case each year, if he does come to Freeling things may certainly excellerate this site.
No secret we have had a turnover in recent years, so Freeling need to take time and get the best bloke available without making a rash decision.

You're right there. It's a fine balance isn't it - do you lose valuable recruiting time or appoint a coach? I think Port Adelaide is suffering from this situation in the SANFL.
Dolling was another rumour for Freeling, but he's gone to Pasky from the scuttlebutt in here.
Was in the Freeling Hotel today and all I got when I asked about the coaching job was raised eyebrows.

May have been slightly mischievous in suggesting Britton will fall to the axe, however I will stand by what I heard at the Club House regarding James.

Good to see young William Wells is broadening his experiences away from the 5352 postcode.
12 months of continuous footy will take its toll on most and any serious injury could prove detrimental to any chance the Pies have of getting the premiership cup out of Rogers hands.
Britton may have to manage his return to work program next season.

Nobby is running around the Barossa looking for more info on the new assistant
for the Donny's. O'Connor has picked up his mate as an assistant coach they tell me
who comes with a big rep. Nobby asking lots of questions around the place. Interesting

Apparently Ockers putting together quite the support crew, he's been trying to convince former Kilburn player Luke O'neil to join him and be the midfield coach, and maybe even have a run around if Luke can get fit enough.
