Some reason why iTunes is crap ...
- constant freezes/lockups, has been happening for the last 78,000 versions
- creates duplicates when using iTunes match
- just about impossible for different users (with their own PC/Mac account) on the same PC or Mac to use the same library, so everyone needs to use the same PC/Mac account, meaning that all users get all the crap from the other users that they may or may not want
- DRM restrictions ... you buy a user licence to content at the whim of Apple, NOT the rights to the content
- Devise authorisation is cumbersome and restrictive
- IOS updates are downloaded every time regardless of whether they have been downloaded before
- IOS updates are complete versions, not delta updates
- cumbersome to relocate the location of the iTunes library or to transfer to another PC/Mac
That's just a start ...
Also, just related to iPhones, there is a huge bug in IOS that chews up cellular (3G/4G, etc) data when on WiFi. The bug is related to the Telco carrier settings and means that cellular data downloads/uploads can occur even when you have set the IPhone to not use cellular when on WiFi.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.
