Probably the most uncertain point in the companies history. I had a chance to have a long chat with Tatanka one day and asked him was he booked to win as the Insider reports/Dirt sheets that we paid to access had told us at the time and he unloaded about it all. Went to town on HBK and said the booking was changed very very late because HBK kicked up a stink. There was Hogan winning the title post PPV and then not defending it for months until the night he lost it. The Taker not going over against a man in a skin coloured furry body suit. The tag match ending in a DQ. Agree it was pretty poor but as a huge Hogan mark and as an 18 year old at the time i loved that Hulk saved Brett and represented the USA against the evil Japanese man who was actually Somoan.
