Hey Felch, did you ever play Footy with a Darren Ware out at Riverside? If so, was he any good?

Rib is still sore, dunno if i'll be playing this week either.

thats gotta be a huge loss westsider!!!!!
the outcome will eventually surface!!!
IMO it sounds like the bloke probably got what he desserved from what i know about pultney players!!!

Yeh well it generally is like this... one side has one story, the other side has their story, and the truth is somewhere in the middle

Curious as to the video footage... maybe they were expecting incidents.. as for legal action.. well there aren't any reports listed on the saafl website for div 4. So obviously the umpires didn't see anything untowards during the game, and nothing was pointed out to them so I doubt anything would end up in court

however what shits me is someone who makes accusations against someone, but wont say who, what, where, why and how? makes me wonder if its just shit stirring lol. they won the game, props to them, should just be left at that

I DON'T have anymore details, but like as discussed it is most likely to be asking a please explain from the umpires as why it was handled the way it was and nothing else. If I knew anymore info I would give it or if I saw it I would give my version of events. As to why I didn't see it, I was too busy avoiding a Portland knuckle head arguing with his own umpire and shirt fronting his own team-mates trying to line up one of us

im a spectator at a majority of havens games as i like the way they go about there footy. there were a few incidents in the first quarter where pultney guys provoked havens guys an obviously they retaliated in the same order, which to me is footy as long as it doesnt get out of hand. an by the sounds of things [pultney seeking legal action] is rubbish what ever happens on the field stays on the field, other than reports obviously. so really if they do get legal action they should pull out of div 4 an start up a netball team [cause they shouldnt get hurt on the netball court], because it is obvious that it may be a bit too physical at times for them.

Lets put an end to this now, i know the incident i saw the incident. To say the north Haven player was unprovoked is absolute rubbish, he reacted to some verbal provocation. Now if you think his retaliation was untoward, well thats for the people who saw it to judge. (and know i'm not going to indulge in what form that retaliation came in to all you other guys. Heaters got the video he knows what im talking about) Football is an emotional game people react in different ways, there are only so many times you can ask a guy if he wants to have a go or not before he reacts to it. Some a lot quicker than others. If your that guy continually asking the question be prepared for an answer at some stage. It was an incident between two players, the pultney player wasn't put out for the rest of the game and the game wasnt called off. As for the umpires i haven't seen a game this year that has been 100% under control by the officials. Take the two points move on and we'll see you in round 18. (thats not a threat either)

Thank you, from that version I think that nothing will come of it. As i didn't see the incident I can only go on what I have been told and mind you this legal advice talk was straight after the game in the heat of the moment. Our guy worst case would have some chipped teeth and best is a split lip and he did continue the game and kicked 3 from memory.

I was at the pultney V haven game and my view is this. Pultney seemed set out to niggle haven, hoping for retaliation and that is exactly what they got. If you're game enough to mouth off to a very aggressive and hard hitting side like Haven, then be prepared for a response. I've never seen haven beaten by pultney and Round 18 will be a game not to miss. Haven will be out to prove a BIG point.

I might also mention that the so called 'distinuished' pultney crowd were quite pathetic on the weekend, with their verbal abuse of the North Haven side. What's the go with the Pultney runner getting involved on the field.

Geez mate, thats a name from the past! Played a little bit of footy with Darren, he was alright, could kick the ball a mile and was pretty quick from what i remember. How do you know him ? I saw him somewhere recently, but for the life of me, cant remember where it was :? Good guy, Darren.

As for video footage! What kind of Bulls$&t is that. You take the field to play with men, then that's what you act like (A MAN). I'm sure ETSA park would have no problem entering a Pultney OS Netball team in their Tuesday Night winter series. Soft cocks! You can't even win without whinging.

Would i be right in saying that you cant use video footage at the SAAFL tribunal as evidence anyway ? Not sure if thats 100%, but im sure i heard it somewhere.

I work with him at Masrac Platics, Churchill Rd North.
He reckons he played Full Back... I asked him if he wanted a game with us... he passed on it :(
He called me a Felcher.... made me think of you! Would he know you as Felch?

I obviously didn't see the Haven/Pulteney game, but would be interested to know what was said in order for someone to start swinging? Was it a Headland/Selwood type deal? I'd think it would have to be pretty serious for someone to react like that.

Seems Pulteney's niggling tactics worked -they came away with the 2 points. Maybe this could be Haven's achilles heel - lack of discipline when needed. I did see some evidence of this against us earlier in the year, some guys from Haven lost their focus very quickly and easily and undisciplined acts almost cost them the game. Their midfield class got them over the line.
As for Pulteney's 'distinguished' supporters, from previous experience, i have found them to be amongst the most feral around - as far as taunts and abuse go.

Nah mate, Felch is just my forum name :D
He would have to be getting on a bit, he would be at least 35, maybe older. He did play full back too, you just reminded me.

dont think its lack of discipline. You just get sick of soft cock sides thinking their hero's and when push comes to shove their piss weak. Heater's made haven sound like meatheads when really Pultney were just wankers!

He did used to fire up when provoked, but it took a bit - normally very laid back. If he did whack an umpire, i dont think it was at Rivvies.
