Nah smith would own him. Holm wouldn't know how to man up on him if SPOC had the ball.

I'd take him any day of the week over Holm.

About time you made some sense BOP. Smith every day of the week. Holm veryyyyy overrated.

Gawler Central 1.0 5.1 7.2......10.3 (63)
Salisbury North 3.4 4.8 6.14...6.15 (51)

Does this give any indication as to the standard of the BLG competition now??
Look forward to the comments on the comparisons of the Div 1 and BLG comps....

You happen to catch the B grade? Apparently Daniel Thomas made a return to football after a 2-3 year lay off after snapping his acl in a trial match. Wore number 5, played a quarter and a half and shnagged 2 goals without training a single session due to working arvos. A lot of people saying he'll go close to leading the D1R goal kicking. That's of course if he isn't called up to the ones after the next trial.

GWS beat the Swans does that make them a top 4 side ?

Gawler Centrals would play in the Div 1 grand final this year without doubt.
Would be the best country team in 2014 across whole state.
So they should when it will cost them near on $150,000 to put the team on the park for the year.
As for other teams in the BLG this year next 2 would be competitive in Div 1 but not paly finals and the other 5 would be mid Div 2 or high Div 3 IMO.
The depth of talented players is always better in the top A1 teams but don't kid yourselves the A1 teams pay out as much as most of the BLG teams.

I think you're pretty well right there, Sam.

Imagine how well the legendary Tanunda side of 2008-2011 would've done too. They were a class act.
Politicians kissing babies for good luck,
TV preachers sell salvation for a buck.
You don't need no golden cross to tell you wrong from right,
The world's worst murderers were those who saw the light.

Hmmmm.....dunno about that one. Doubt there's any team in SAAFL paying 300/game per player over the 18 games. Which still doesn't come near the 150k/year.
As for Gawler Central! I spoke to the main man from sails nth today! and he did say that centrals should easily take the title out in the barossa league. They would likely go through undefeated he said.

But don't read too much into that game re the result against sails nth. If the game was played during the regular season, the difference in scoring shots would be a hell of a lot more.
And you've seen the sides like Henley, Goodwood, and that have you? They might have something to say about that too.

im not sure you can go by 2 clubs first hit out of the year and confirm the GC would make the D1 grand final.

Any truth to the rumour that Portland have been exposed for using performance enhancing substances? One their players has apparently been importing Norwegian Glacial Water with mystical powers.

I hear that Portland have firmed as the favourites for the D1 wooden spoon after signing the self-proclaimed 'full-back of the century'.

This 'footballer', known for his serious lack of talent and ordinary behaviour on the grog, was lured down that way with a 15 day old cold pasty and warm can of coke.

At least he will get as much, if not more, legal work in the heart of Port Adelaide than he got as his former club
