It doesn't really matter if Mt Lofty are only using 8 points, but the points originally were:

Echunga 9
Kersbrook. 9
Nairne 13
Meadows 13
Gumeracha 13
Birdwood 13
Macclesfield 15
Kangarilla 15
Sedan Cambrai 15

Mt Lofty were awarded 15 points in Central Division and allowed to keep these when relegated to Country Division. Since a recent HFL Special meeting some of these points have now changed, I know Sedan have about 20.

Looking through the clearances etc , my lofty only have 2-3 blokes who may be worth points, other cleared guys are returning to the club after cpl years elsewhere. Only round 1 also.....

After last weekends efforts I reckon gums are in for a genuine chance over the brookers this weekend. They looked to have picked up a few very handy players.

Sedan v Lofty
Kersbrook v Gumeracha
Maccy v Kangarilla

Sedan throwing $300 a game at a 19 year-old kid, who has only played 4 A Grade games and is coming off a knee reconstruction.

Don't blame the kid for going.

Poor old Sedan need to do things like this to survive ( lots of clubs struggling to survive at the moment around the state).
I fear for Sedan's long term future. Continually down the bottom in A and B grade and no juniors.

Is Hills country going to be to difficult always for them and if so what league can they play in ?

Did Riverland Independant knock them back ?

Personally I think the Hills country league need them because they need the club numbers , but how do they become competitive and a finals chance ?

Sedan Cambrai still in it at 3/4 time but Kersbrook smashed them in the last.

Any conformation that the Devils have a significant IN this week?.... previous player returning to the club, fair player too.

Nathan Peterson-Gray would be a massive in for any side in the competition. The Devils will surely be unbeatable this year in Country Div

As it stands, without NPG, will anyone beat Lofty? I'm not being smart here but I thought Meadows might push them but they got touched up by Nairne. So is Nairne the threat?

Having played against both of these sides and going on other results I think Nairne will be their only threat and they may get within 10 goals.

It's an early call but i think the Country Div comp is all sewn up in both the A's and B's.

NPG will dominate.

A Penny will also be another big inclusion later in the year when he finally gets himself fit.

The questions is, will Echunga come straight back down if Lofty are to go up?

A's seems like a fair gap, but not so sure about B's as yet.
I haven't seen Club Shiled for Central but I'd imagine Echunga would be bottom, I think only their Senior Colts have won a game (?). Their B grade kicked 1 point last week...

I don't think Torrens Valley are travelling to well on the club championship either. May be who does better out of those two clubs head to head.

I think its to early to call in both grades - mt lofty may get complacent and lose form? No doubt NPG will certainly help their cause

There was a whisper that one of the Temme boys was also returning to the club but I recon there would be more chance of a 'big foot' sighting....

I ventured out to birdwood yesterday with the other 50 or 60 other supporters. what the fu** has happened to birdwood a few years ago they were competitive in div 1 and were going to be the next team in the afl. to make matters worse the coach was happy with the performance maybe they should except the amalgamation with torrens valley before its too late.

Dissapointing effort from the roosters. Sounds like they will be with out spud mcleay after he was sent off with a red card.
